Quick question here - not quite sure if it has been asked/answered and I require more of a clarification anyway (and yes I should have searched first, but I'd rather up my post count that do some research).
Pacification reads:
When 4 or more damage would be dealt, reduce damage dealt by 1.
And now Invincible reads:
Damage dealt to Iron Man is reduced to 1.
Both battlefield and special power are in play. Earth-2 Superman (or any character with damage value of 4 or greater) attacks Iron Man. If I'm reading this right, Iron Man reduces the damage dealt to 1, but since he would be dealt 4+ damage, pacification also activates reducing the damage dealt by 1 making a grand total of zero damage dealt.
Granted, this all depends on the order of events (does the battlefield come into effect first or the special power) or else it's the player's choice or something.
Any help?
Eh . . .
I have no sekrets, I just am.

Once Invincible reduces the damage dealt, Iron Man is no longer being dealt 4+ damage. He's being dealt *1* damage. So Pacification would not be activated.
OR...
Iron Man is dealt 4+ damage... so Pacification activates and modifies the damage dealt by -1. THEN Invincible activates... reducing the damage dealt to 1.
Either way, Iron Man is only being dealt a total of 1 damage.
Pacification activates first causing Superman to hit for 4 (because he does 5 damage) then ironman reduces the total damage dealt to 1. Thats how i read it. Even in your other example since the damage ironman would be taking is 1 pacification would never come into play. This is only because the character has to do 4+ damage to your character actually before it gets reduced. Ironman's Sp doesn't allow that to happen.
If you try to have "Invincible" trigger first, then the damage dealt would be equal to 1. Wouldn't that mean that Pacification would not trigger?
I'm under the impression that generally speaking Pacification triggers before any damage reducers (not just Invincible). Either way, Iron Man still takes 1 click of damage, I believe.
I'm sorry I can't back up my claims with any specific rulings besides comparing Pacification with Multi-Attack (in which one reduces damage dealt by 1 (to a minimum of 1) before damage reducers apply).
edit: well, at least there seems to be some agreement with what happens to poor Tony Stark.
Pacification kicks in before damage reducing powers: Supes deals 5 damage, reduced to 4 by Pacification, reduced to 1 by Invincible, Iron Man takes 1 damage.
(confirmed in this thread on the WK Heroclix: Rules forum, though not by the RA)
