What about trade rumors of Miami trading 2nd Pick for Chancey Billiups ?
someone told me it was rumored that Carmelo Anthony was being shopped to Detroit... and that Denver was denying it too... I hope not Carmelo is a good played and he has a team willing to help build around him hopefully

There was an offer for Melo to goto Detroit, but it fell thru and Denver offer AI and Camby, but Dumars said No thank You.. am glad.
Detroit should've taken Melo when they had the chance instead of Darko and they would be winning the east every year. I don't think Miami is going to trade the pick now...they are going to roll the dice and take Beasley unless they get a really nice offer that includes a PG. I also think that Toronto made a nice move last night to get Jermaine O'Neal to go along with Chris Bosh and Calderon. They will be a playoff team this year.

They were a playoff team this past season , but they gonna be dangerous this upcoming one. A pass first, fearless PG, with Bosh, and O'neal? And some knock down shooters in Delfino, Parker, et. al. That's scary good.
If you let them kill your dreams, it'll haunt you.

That was good trade for Toronto, as long O'Neal stay health, we can see them going passed the 1st rd. of Playoffs. Key Player like Garbjosa and Moon this new look for this team.
Yeah, they didn't really slip much. Not like TJ Ford was the picture of health and his standing with the team continually was eroded by Calderon's stellar play. Nestrovic(sp?) Not really going to do much for that team as he would have been replaced by someone else easily and the 17? Unless some GMs are stupid (and that's a very real possibility) no one that could help them would be around for that pick anyway.
Toronto won big time here. Even if O'Neal can only give them 50 games. and the playoffs.

I was hearing some rumblings about T-Mac going to Detroit, but that it was more of a back up plan. You must have a hell of a primary plan if getting T-Mac is your back up one.

Yeah I hope they don't do this... Dumars is getting lazy, he willing to package up a load players and then ship them all out. He doesn't want to shop around and deal with one player at a time..
The Heat drafts Michael Beasley and then trades to get Mario Chalmers, I think this draft is as good as it gets for the Heat. I know Riley (he may not be the coach, but he's going to have his say) doesn't like starting rookies, but Beasley's going to start and I see them getting a crafty veteran point guard in his mid 30s to start the game and to teach Chalmers the NBA game. All that's left is to get a capable center who isn't going to lose games for you. They'll need defense and rebounding and free agent Theo Ratliff can do that. As for the point, Keeyon Dooling is a local who played HS ball down here, but he lacks what the Heat needs. I guess it's wait and see for now.
