Now I could be completley wrong about this (as i didnt read the first couple BND issues) but when spider man was keeping the 2-D girl from killing her tv obsession , and while he was playing Papparazzi , Did he know who Mary Jane was ? For some reason to me He seemed to act as if he never met her. She acted as if she knew his Identity though.... Now in the newest Spider-Man , old Petey boy remembers encountering Vermin once right after he moved in with MJ ..... did i find a no prize canidate or is peter starting to remember mary jane ... or did he never forget her?
He didn't forget MJ nor were they never an 'item'. They never got married and don't love one another.
Pete thought that he may have recognized her voice over the PA but couldn't place it and MJ should still know Spidey's alter ego because she knew that even before they dated.

Except for the fact they Marvel repeatedly said in the comic during OMD and after BND that nobody knew his identity anymore. Not even all the people that logically should for reasons that had nothing to do with the MJ marriage. Like Daredevil, Wolverine, Osbourne(s).....
I'm really hoping that OMD Spider-Man is a sleeper agent for the Skrulls. That would negate OMD altogether. It would explain why MJ would still know is secret identity because she only forgot the Skrull and not Peter.

To expand on Pete not recognizing the voice, you have to imagine it sounding like a drive-thru speaker to him.
And based on what MJ was reading and how she was acting towards him, I think she knows everything that happened and she's more involved than ever, really.
Also that arc was beautiful to look at.
I think it is sad that people are selling this whole project short. The writing is good and the stories have a lot of fun as well as a lot of hints about what's going to be coming. It's just a good talent pool... and I like Wacker's influence in general.
I hear tell that the sales on the book aren't as strong as they hoped... but I certainly like the 3x per month and hope they can keep that going.

Haha, I agree, the more I read of BND the more I lean towards dropping it, which is sad because then I wont have any 616 Spidey. Ultimate spiderman rocks, if only marvel hadnt decided that spidey is more exciting single. Because really, they havent done anything so far that they couldnt have before, his relationships are just dangling.

While I see your point jackstar with the talent pool, I think the 3 issue arcs are rushing some things that need more time, like the paper doll story which for me seemed rushed at the end. Also, anyone know why at the end of the last issue it said "see you in 3 weeks"

There are five Wednesdays in July and Amazing Spider-Man only ships in three of them.
And the only one who remembers this is you... cause everyone else here has been editted by Joephisto and can't remember that. However, we all have living aunts now, and none of us is married to MJ, so, there ya go.
This thread just confirms that I made the right decision to stop reading Spider Man after the OMD storyline. I still would like to smack Quesada in the head for that. We have a single Spider Man in the Ultimates book, why couldn't they keep it that way?

Tarnish
it should be nobody*. *= except MJ who made a deal on the side and still remembers i bought the 1st issue of BND and absolutly hated it. one of the worst ideas the house has ever had, IMHO. that bein' said i did pick up the 3 part DanSlott/MarcosMartin "PaperDoll" story and it was a good read. the artist is who really pulled me back to the book, but i still had this elseworld type feel when readin' it. it wasnt the Spidey i had been readin' and that took away from my enjoyment; not much but still. JMS was killin', in a good way, Amazing IMO and them erasin' all those stories and Harry’s death and Flash’s veggie state was the nail in the coffin. i like a married Parker, i was happy MJ and him finally looked like they were gonna work. i wish AuntMay would did, there i said it.

Solidarity brother! No more Spider-Man until the simpletons who thought this mess up are gone.

Wait! are you telling me that i have to re-marry my lifesize standee of MJ.
Do you know how hard it was to get witnesses who'd keep their mouths shut the first time round?
