Alrite so Sentry has the power of a million exploding suns right?
Sentry = 1,000,000SP(sun power)
Galactus also gave surfer one/one millionth of his own power.
Surfer = 1/1,000,000GP(Galactus power)
In the arc for cosmic Carnage one of the out comes was Surfer flying throught the sun killing himself instantly.
1/1,000,000SP > 1/1,000,000GP
So the Sentry can kill the Surfer a million times over making him as powerful as Galactus or even more?
1,000,000SP > 1,000,000GP
Also in WWH when Sentry unleashed all his power why didn't the earth disappear?
please no comments like its only a comic just chill, I understand that. I was just playing around with numbers..LOL
The Sentrey may be VERY POWERFUL but that does not mean he uses it at maximum levels. His Psychosis limits him greatly (something I think is getting mighty old), and when he does go all out he may still have control which prevents him from destroying the Earth.
I'm going to hit him really, really hard with a big green boxing glove............ I'm kidding. - Hal Jordan
The moniker of one million exploding suns was an intentional bit of hyperbole. He does have an extremely high level of power that he never uses (even in WWH where he was asking for the Hulk to beat him), but the whole tagline is part of the commentary on limitless power and the pitfalls of having a character who wields it within a given universe. That is; why Superman-type characters are so hard to write for.
That 1/1,000,000 SP > 1/1,000,000 GP might be inaccurate. The Surfer may have flown into the sun and chosen not to use any of his cosmic power to protect himself from the destructive power of the Sun.
I'm biased, though, in that I tend to think of the Heralds of Galactus as the pinnacle of Marvel powerhouses.

When our story opens, the Question is investigating an impossible locked-room murder mystery involving a midget and a 6'6"-tall call girl into heavy bondage. Don't worry, I'll explain later. It's all vitally relevant.

I'm with Wyld on this matter.
The Surfer can convert energy so he could have converted any heat touching him into a nice chill giving his body the perfect temperature.
Also it seems even without being with Galactus he was regularly very powerful when fighting the forces of Annihlus. Now that he has returned to being the big G's lapdog he was given even more power than he had during his last run with him.
But of course I'm biased to the Silver Surfer.
You know he's so much more like Spiderman than you will ever, ever be.
According to the original Sentry series he's fought Galactus to a standstill by himself.

Read when Sentry fought Terrax then? He just broke his cosmic axe and tossed him off the planet.
You're good. But I'm magic!

The problem is that a lot of new players come from the "race generation" they want to define their worth by the "skill" they posses in playing a game of toy soldiers.
