Three 300 PT. SI Floor Teams -- Skrull Ms. Marvel, Dr. Strange or Red Dial Thing
I am a new player with three ideas for 300 PT floor teams, all using a light tentpole. Thoughts on which is best or suggestions for revision? I don't have many feats.
Skrull Ms. Marvel is the primary attacker, Spider Man as secondary attacker, Gee for TK and Phantom Girl as a tie-up so Ms. Marvel can use hit and run HSS tactics.
2. Doctor Strange (149 pts.)
Spider Man (50 pts.)
Arachnae (50 pts.)
Captain America (49 pts.)
Total: 298 pts.
Dr. Strange uses Cap as a meat shield while Spider Man and Arachnae run interference.
3. The Thing (Fantastic Four Starter, 100 pts.)
Spider Man (50 pts.)
Clea (59 pts.)
Gee (40 pts.)
Sharon Carter (50 pts.)
Total: 299 pts.
Thing as primary attacker and Spider Man as secondary, Gee TKs them around the board, Clea for ranged support and outwit, Sharon Carter for a stealthy harasser and friendly perplex.

I like teams #1 and #3 more than team #2. Dr Strange is fragile for a tent-pole, if Hercules or Namor gets to him with a Flurry he's pretty well KO'ed in one action. Also you have no good teams for Strange or Spidey to copy.
If you want to field Strange, I would replace Arachne with Gee (FF4 TA, TK, 12-points for any feats you can borrow) or even Sharon Carter (SHIELD TA for added range or damage, Stealth figure for Strange to hide behind).
If played correctly, it's dang near impossible to lose using Skrull Ms. Marvel. So much so that it is hardly fun to play when using her (even less so when playing against her). So if you realllllllly want to win (and don't mind gaining the ire of your opponents) go with her. Although switch Gee up for someone else, she doesn't need the TK, and the other members of your team aren't worth wasting 40 points to move.

I like team 1 alot. you are most likely to win with it, or maybe it's just that I'm a hypersonic freak. Who knows? Maybe take out spidey and Phantom Girl and put in Cheif with Contingency plan.
Cheif allows Ms. Marvel to push with his manipulate, and his contingency plan and perplex can help raise her av Gee is just there to tk her out and prof Bruttenholm can tie the big peices up for a turn or two.
Cheif allows Ms. Marvel to push with his manipulate,
She never pushes anyway, due to her indomitable power. Not saying Chief's not a good choice - but you won't get much use from the manipulate power with her.
I think floor will come down to two types - Mrs. Marvel and Anti-Marvel. If you aren't playing her, you need a way to kill her because you will almost certainly face her. If you are playing her, you need a way to "one up" the other Mrs. Marvel players and avoid the anti-Marvel pieces (Namor, Hercules, etc). Easier said than done.
Oh, I'm picking out a thermos for you... Hawkeye Game Club "These young 'uns gotta learn, you just don't mess with no mean-eyed furballs!" -- Ch'p

I started playing toward the end of the Crisis rotation and I was a big fan of hypersonic, too. Kid Flash and Dawnstar were two of my favorite figs in the set. Maybe that is why I am leaning toward Skrull Ms. Marvel.
There seems to be some disagreement about whether Gee is necessary on a Skrull Ms. Marvel team. The Namor/Hercules teams are sure to be sporting one. I am not sure that hypersonic is enough to keep her safe if that is the case.
I am working on trying to get the protected feat, but it is not cheap. What/Where is Prof. Buttendorm? I can't find that fig anywhere.
Is it better to just have the other figs on a Skrull Ms. Marvel team just be support figs to help her rather a secondary attacker? The Chief is one possibility but seems kinda expensive for a fig that cannot fight at all. Ideally, I'd like to have Skrull Ms. Marvel, one cheap secondary attacker and the rest support figs.
If I gave up on having a secondary attacker altogether, one possibility I thought of was
Lightspeed could be helpful moving Chief around the board as his movement sucks. But it makes me nervous that Skrull Ms. Marvel is the only one on the team who can fight.

Reason: added another team idea

I was thinking of a team like this, but using R Aleta instead of Gee. I like that she has Barrier to help safeguard Ms Marvel even more. Also, she can push to TK, which will come in handy if I need to yank Ms Marvel away from battle when she is pushed. I lose the crutch that is Protected, but hopefully I won't need to use it. Lila Cheney, my favorite pog, rounds out the team as she can go tie up just about anyone when needed. My only fear is being out-actioned by a 4-5 figure team of solid attackers (Secret Invasion has so many great 50-80 pointers!).

I don't know, haven't lost to her yet - as a matter of fact, at the venue I play- "Namor", owns her and her cute behind.
