So, after re-reading the past 20 issues or so of Uncanny X-Men to be ready for #501 (Which was wonderful), I thought back to how Mystique was in Brian Vaughn's/Sean McEeveer (sp?) Mystique ongoing series and saw a DRASTIC change in the way 'Stique acted in it and how she was in U. X.-M.

I personnaly always saw her like she was in her series instead of the way she was recently.


So, can you think of any other characters who had a writer swap and botched a character?

Take a look at Ultimate Power. Pretty much everyone who isn't Spider-Man or Nick Fury changes as the writers change. Zarda, in particular, is only consistent with her previous writing in the middle three issues (naturally written by JMS, who created her). How hard is it for comics writers to READ THE PREVIOUS ISSUES to learn that a character talks in the plural?
