I realize this should probably be posted at www.cardfloppers.com, but when I tried to go there I got a "Suspended Page" error.
I recently installed Windows Vista and now that I have a minute I'm trying to play a quick game, but every time I attempt to connect OCTGN simply shuts down. I don't get/notice any error messages it simply closes. Windows doesn't come back and prompt me with any failed application messages or things of that nature either.
It is possible it could be the UAC kicking in and making me confirm the server connection, but OCTGN just shuts down because the connection failed before I get the dialog. (Happened when installing WoW)
Just wondering if anyone else had ran into this?
*EDIT*
So right after clicking post I tried to run the program as administrator and it's working now. (So far at least) Just a heads up then for anyone else having problems with Vista
So I have a problem with Vista as well...here's my dilemma:
If I run OCTGN as an administrator, I CAN connect to other games, but I cannot import my deck I've built. If I open the Deck Editor (from in octgn or from start menu) the deck I've build isn't even listed. I tried saving the deck somewhere else, then importing it. When I click 'Import' the deck editor just shuts down, no error messages, no warning. Just shuts down.
If I don't run as administrator, I can get my deck just fine, but I cannot connect to any games. I get the same problem (shutting down with no warning, etc)
I have a problem with the database in vista. I've set it up just like we should (I've installed octgn on like EVERY computer I work with) and it always crashes out on me.
I think we may have to wait until Vista becomes more compatible... I've had a slew of games error out on me from time to time too.
