im trying to clear this up, what happens if u give sarmoth elusive on a opponents turn to attack

if I remember correctly Sarmoth says they attack him if they can.

Can't overrules Can, so when they try to attack the game says "Attack sarmoth if you can!" and elusive says "You can't attack sarmoth!"

So, Sarmoth's text would be pointless.

Even if that isn't Sarmoth's exact text, I would rule it the same way.

from the OCR:

Sarmoth, 3, Warlock (Azeroth-130C)
Ally—Voidwalker Demon, Pet (1), 1 ATK
(Shadow), 5 Health
Opposing heroes and allies can attack only Sarmoth
if able.

that looks confusing to me, i would say that it means if they are able to attack sarmoth, they may only attack sarmoth. thus if he has elusive, they may attack anyone else.

the attempt here is to use both text and a card to give him elusive to make a lock so someone cant attack at all

sarmoth says
Opposing heroes and allies that can attack Sarmoth can attack only Sarmoth.

since when you give him evasion (not sure why you would) they cant attack sarmoth so his text gets neutered

Absolutely! Here's how this works:
(as has been answered before) if Sarmoth has Elusive, you can choose any character to attack that you want. Lesson? Don't put elusive on Sarmoth! lol

And furrball45: of course you can choose not to attack! Sarmoth only stops things from attacking anything else BESIDES Sarmoth. You don't HAVE to attack!
