After looking around, didn't see any already ongoing discussion about Thundurfury, so this is exactly what the thread says, will it see play? If so, any specific decks that come to mind?
I'm thinking the obvious choice for this card seems to be some form of stall deck as a nice finisher, just curious as to what you all think.
I sure don't think it will see play. I suppose it'd be an alright finisher for a stall deck, or maybe something to throw in a hunter rush deck, just in case it all goes bad you could strike with it and then blueleaf to pretty much try again...I just don't know. I think it's a pretty silly card all around.
I've thrown 2 copies into a pally deck I am testing. Usually you won't even need it, but if it comes out and u start swinging it, the game is over pretty fast. Still, its a late game option, not something to build a deck around.
Enemy of My Enemy
Quest
To complete this quest, discard an ally.
Reward: Search your deck for an ally with a different race than the character you discarded.
Flavor Text: As the Draenei and the Humans allied at last, cries of outrage from the Horde community could be heard all across Azeroth, claiming that the treaty was "broken".
Slednecker, I think you thought of the wrong card. Twice. =P
"Zin'rokh, Destroyer of Worlds" is the one that destroys all other abilities, allies, equipment, and resources when you deal combat damage with it.
"Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker" is the weapon that lets you deal 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 damage, respectively, to up to 5 different heroes/allies when you deal damage with it.
Of course, like Merdle said, it still probably fits into the category of a "win more" card.
Well, I definitely like Thunderfury much more than Zin'rokh. Thunderfury will have its place in a lot of decks, because of just how devastating it can and will be. I wouldn't mind putting in 1 or 2 in just about every deck that can use it. I see it as one of the biggest, baddest and most viable win conditions that we've seen from TDP.
i play gorebelly combo and people say u win on turn 6. its true some times or you lose on turn six too... but maybe 25% of the games are just ridiculously long against some stall decks. so i say put 1-2 in my sideboard so in those matchups it just is auto win on turn 10 with thunderfury and heroics etc. thats only in my deck tho, idk about others.
Thank god that came back around I was freakin out when I read the first part of this thread. Thunderfury is one of the true finishers of this game. Only suffering from the fact that it is a weapon.
If I could get my hands on one I'd toss it into a pally deck and start playing pally. Problem is they are hide to find and people just don't wanna trade it.

Yup I'm not Trading any of mine. If I somehow come up with an extra I'll let you know though.
A friend of mine plays the game online and got into the card game pretty heavily, buying a case or so per set. I've never played the game online, but started to learn how to play the card game on a Friday night to go play at a Sunday regional. He played the Shaman deck with a bunch of little guys. I played a Paladin with lots of healing, armor, and weapons.
I went 3-2, killing people by staying alive too long. I would gain about 30 life per game, so they would have to try to kill me twice. I'd last til turn 9, then play the Thunderfury sword. Whenever I played it, the people standing around would suddenly crowd out table to see the other side get swept off the field.
