So I was bored and decided that I would collect a bunch of decks and put in this section for quick easy reference for those people looking for playtest assistance or general ideas of what might appear at tournaments. These decklists pretty much come from the Darkmoon Faires. If I don't include decks or make mention of decks that you like (i.e. Pally's, rogues) it doesn't mean that they are bad just that they haven't really put up the numbers as these decks.

Puck is out

The deck that I've had the most trouble with is the Solo Hero: Telrander. We have a player at our local shop that has been using an almost exact copy of it and unless I gear a deck just for it I have been unsuccessful at taking it down with out losing to a number of other decks that I normaly crush.
Any one have some pointers on how to defeat that deck and still be competitive for other decks you might face?
Telendar is kinda dead around here; take the Darkmoon Faerie Shaman from above and you'll crush it. You can meta and throw in Purges in the board (not a bad call for the metagame in general right now; the Pagathas do Spirit Healing a bit too well, and for 1 it completly throws them off their game).
Have nothing to add other than "Good Summary, Puck"; kinda one of those threads that does a good enough job explaining itself where there's nothing to add. Only thing worth noting is that Ferocity decks do seem to be "on the rise" online because they do a good job against most of those (and are easy to play and relatively cheap).

One of the best decks to play (Phadalus the Enlightened) has a nice game against the cat form. With effects like Chipper main and Purge board you should be able to control the game. Just make sure to practice as both decks tend to beatdown and the person who better understands what role they should be in during the match up will end up winning.
Other strategies can include things like ability destruction which will make 12 cards useless when the deck is not in Cat Form. Also exhaust effects like Hammer of Justice are just back breaking.
Perhaps the best advice is to try and play with the Cat Form get a little understanding on how it runs. By playing it you can see what hurts the deck and what cards the deck doesn't want to see, etc.
Thanks for the pointers guys. As tempting as its been to play with decks that have been known to win its always felt like I was cheeting when I used a winning deck that some one else made so I do what ever I can to build original decks. (sadly though all to often I fall back to things that have been done before cause they work so for a while a majority of my decks were almost the same)
Savaged_Puck, I think you have the best idea that I didnt even consider. I'll put together a few of the decks to beat and see just how they go about winning, or losing and if I'm lucky I'll still have some friends that want to come over for cards on a wednesday night.
So going through some decklists from DMF: Chicago I added the Dizdemona Ritual Sacrifice deck, and just for Paul I found an Azarak decklist that went 6-0 at a regionals.
Enjoy, and I will keep an eye out for other decks that people willl probably play and that have solid game. I am really hoping there is a Priest/Rogue/Paladin/Mage deck out there that can compete with this field.
Hopefully Fires of Outland can shake up this metagame.

I think the list is ironically diluted a bit since the last posting; when you first started the list, I felt like you had done a good job of defining the "true metagame" with proven decks. Those were decks with an undeniable winning streak and proven long-term consistancy. They were the decks that, if you could figure out something that could beat all of them, you could probably assure day two.
I think adding the Diz Ritual and the Azarak decks is a step in the wrong direction. There are generally far better-performing decks than Diz Ritual, and the Azarak deck has time and time again proven to be tier 2 at best. More importantly, these are somewhat "opinionated" calls; they are not terribly popular, and haven't proven to have good staying power.
Around the net and locally, it seems like Ferocity decks (especially involving Tauran Shaman and, well, Azarak as an ally decks) have been popping up and doing quite well. But I don't think they should be included on a list like this quite yet; they do need to prove themselves.
If your goal is to make a list of the decks you truly need to beat to win in the format (as it initially seems), I think your recent additions really dilluted the post. If you're just looking to put out every deck "with potential", I mean you have several more itterations to go.

I do agree with you on the listing of Azarak. He was mostly in there because there is lots of talk about him so maybe I need to make a new section where he can appear, such as Decks to Consider. Also I haven't seen a solid enough ferocity list (still looking though). As far as the Rit Sac Dizzy, well top 8 DMF: Frankfurt and 9th in Chicago seems like a deck to beat to me.
So question to all the people, the first iteration of the list seems solid would you like a second list for other decks like the Azarak so it is in a localized location but isn't necassarily a deck to beat. And what is the opinion of the Dizzy deck.
I will update the lists how it can be the most helpful...i.e. don't put decks like Azarak which are really subpar or have two lists. So please share your opinions.
Thanks and EvilDave thank you for the input I really do want to make these a helpful tool so your response was greatly appreciated and hopefully I can get things were it is a useful tool.
