Practically anything that's not a power action. Flurry, for those pieces that have special powers that allow it, Blades/claws, incap, quake and exploit according to the PAC.
So what if I'm a wolf on full moon nights?
I'm still part man, and I've got rights!
Looks like it works with: Blades/claws/fangs, exploit weakness, quake, close combat expert, incapacitate, flurry and steal energy. Anything that requires an action, but before you make an attack.
I am curious to know if you can use Accomplished Physician and have him do some lunge healing.

I've seen people use it with close combat expert (a power action). Could people be playing this wrong?

That could be a funny situation! A hopping healer!
I would say so, because it says "close combat attack." Just because CCe is a prerequisite, doesn't mean you can use it.
Although this is true, the card doesn't say what kind of action it has to be to initiate. All it says is: when the character is given an action, but before it makes a closecombat attack, it may break away automatically and move up 2 squares.
Since all actions leads to attacks (close combat-wise except maybe forceblast) then you should be able to use it with mind control and TK as well as long as you have the prerequisites of course.
Can a figure lunge on a different elevation? Ground level terrain to elevated terrain and vice versa. It looks like its possible if the figure has leap/climb but what about a figure with just cce?

Blackheart25 is correct.
Lunge works with any action that contains a close combat attack, that's what makes suggest a great card to use with lamppost Batman and AA Robin as it works with Charge.
There was a thread in the Wizkids forum where this is confirmed, and it also had a good explanation on how Lunge works, but those forums are down.

Depends. Leap/Climb is a move action or "When you give this
character a close combat action, it can target a character regardless of the target’s elevation."
so you could Lunge next to sqare beside an opponent's figure on top of building on top of building, and attack that character as you would doing Close Combat Action that requires an attack."
But I don't think you could leap/climb to move next to the oppenent's figure and attack as that would require a move action that doesn't have a close combat attack as part of the action.
The one exception I know of his Robin who can use the Batline Special power with Lunge as this gives a Charge that ignores elevated terrain.
Not exactly. You get a 2 square move as part of your Lunge action, and this is independent from your actual movement value.
This is correct. Lunge doesn't modify the Speed combat value, but gives a the character a two square (that allows automatic breakaway) before making a close combat attack.
