Pricy. Can be hit. Will take damage. Cries out for Fortitude. But maintains incredible damage potential, mobility, attack value, and range for tremendous retaliatory potential. Indomitable and Invincible (when you can keep it) keep Prime dangerous for a long time. Played well, he can earn his points. But be careful. Comic accurate as you tend to want to just kill everything once you put him on the board.
I don't know what it is,,but this figure just don't do any thing for me,,don't get me wrong i love the Sculpt,,but he seems to die really quickly for me,i just don't have any look with this guy,,i mean for 318 points you would think he would be a beast on the battle filed,,but alas hes not.give him Fortitude and Endurance, then you might have a a decent powerhouse, but then you would have a 348 point figure, besides you should not have to put feat cards on a 318 point figure to be able to use him on the battle field.just my opinion.

Because you're blind so you've never seen indomitable before.
I think he's a bit too pricey for what he does, but he's certainly extremely playable. Only feat he begs for is Fortitude, if you want to put Protected on him you're certainly able to, and you'd still have room for one of the many cheap TK kids in restricted.
Like many bricks, he really shines as the point totals increase.
Actually the only three feats Superman Prime needs are Fortitude Auto-Regen, and just to be mean Alias. The way I've seen him played is primarily as a ranged weapon where Superman Prime's range is perplexed up. Then he's TK'd and uses HSS to not only get a ranged attack but this allows Superman Prime to expend a large chunk of his remaining movement on getting behind blocking terrain. Or Superman Prime moves far enough away where he can't be attacked.
Superman Prime is simply too soft in his defence to be a top-tier figure. While his defence powers are good, the 17s are not quite enough to protect him from being whittled down. and his trait prevents him from carrying the support figures who might be able to help him out.
Once Superman Prime is on clicks 2-3 and 6-7 he suffers a lot from incompatible powers. Hypersonic Speed is great, but when your only attack powers are Exploit Weakness and Psychic Blast, there will always be two powers that you can't use in any given turn. His damage potential really falls away on these clicks.
In any tournament with a high enough point built to play Superman Prime competitively, I have never failed to see him KOd in every game - sometimes one-turn KOs. I just don't think that he's worth it.
I played against him yesterday and his vulnerability to outwit really kills him. I had him pinned down with Batman Beyond and Anarchy, as my other pieces picked him apart. Personally I don't think a 300+ point figure should need fortitude to be viable.
Now, that said, he is still an extremely dangerous piece. Without any outwit to counter him, he can really be a pain. But at 318 points, he just doesn't pan out, and can easily be out actioned by a well played swarm.

That will kill about any figure 250+ that doesn't have Power Cosmic or Quintessence as a TA. Singling Superboy out for that is a touch unfair.

Well, they do. Unless they have the aforementioned TAs. Otherwise it's too easy to just nerf them with outwits.

He is an offensive minded piece, and a lot of players seem to have a tendency to play defensively. That won't work with SBP. You need to constantly attack with him, and if you aren't, it had better be because he's pushed. :)

I've played with him twice and against him once in 1000 point games. While I agree that he shouldn't need Fortitude (Quintessence team ability would have made sense in Prime's case) he is a MONSTER with it. I've used him with Sinestro corps members in both of the games I played him in, and his Flurry clicks are downright evil, if you get knocked onto them. You can cripple any figure in the game except Colossals if you hit both attacks, perplex his damage up one and you can KO almost any figure in the game. I haven't yet been past my flurry clix yet. You do need to play him in high point games to see his true power, however.
When you get into this point range it is hard define what is well-costed and what is not. For those points you get a brick that will deal out the kind of hurt the makes the Green Scar flinch.
For those points, you also get low defensive values that make him an easy target. On one hand, I view him as a character that is far from deft, and would likely just wade into a sea of enemies, but I think 18 Def on the first click, or starting Invincibility would not have been too much to ask.
Regardless, a fun piece to play. If you're looking to dump those kinds of points at a tournament though, I'd go with E-2 Supes.
He Honestly Doesnt NEED fortitude, 10 Speed HSS + Indomitable means he should always get first strike, I Played him Last Night without Fortitude in a 600 Point game and he dominated, Play him like he is The Flash, Perplex his Speed Value. People talk about how weak his defense is, but KC Crisis Superman only has 1 Click of 18, and 3 clicks more of 16D, Sure he is cheaper but they are still in Big Huge Point Figure Catagory. The Real Nastyness, is that He Regen's into Invincible, which as he gets hit knocks him into Invul, from that click he has to be hit for 5 to be KO'd otherwise he just regens again.
He's OK, but for 318 points, he should have at least 1 click of 18 DV with Impervious. As much as I like the 'Invincible' power, it just doesn't seem to ever work out, as your opponent will always try to hit you with a figure that does 1 or 2 Damage when you have that power showing. Indomitable is a great ability, if it was only compatible with Shellhead. I have only played my Prime once, and he got his butt handed to him. Great AV all the way down. Great Damage all the way down, but he's just too easy to hit. However, I do love me the beastly beatsticks, so I'll find a way to make him work.
Trade to Canada. We're friendly, and we love Beavers..........
I bought 4 bricks of arkham. i got every figure except prime and sinestro batman so i bought a prime online BIG MISTAKE! this fig is a piece of garbage give me the crisis darkseid and the new AA riddler and ill tear him a new ####### AND ID STILL HAVE 18 PTS LEFT OVER!!!!! he is deff not worth 318 pts the E-2 superman would totally demolish him i would even venture to say that the vet icons superman is better than prime stay 6 squares away when he has that junky im a hero power and he blows. This is BY FAR the most over rated heroclix fig EVER made. go with the E-2 of vet icon superman and they also have the superman team ability. prime sucks for 318 pts. you can also outwit indomitable NOT the special star power the E-2 has. even to make him good you would need atleast 25 pts in cards so your wasting time go with E-2 of ICON vet.
