Ah, Skrullojacket I call him. Yeah, super-original I know. There are quite a few good to great Hank Pyms out there. For 100 points you get a lot here: the Skrull ta, willpower, outwit, psychic blast, mastermind among them. These aren't usually the powers associated with Hank Pym but that also makes this piece interesting. His lack of defense is a real issue here but if you're fielding a Hank Pym for the 100 point range he's a pretty good choice (although there are probably better, like the MU Giant-Man).
I don't care TOO much for the dial, but I must admit it plays well. A great special power to represent that moment you discover your teammate is a Skrull, and the dial actually plays really well to boot! Size changing like crazy, this Skrull is just a good time. Not usually worth the points in lower limits.
Throw protected in him and he's good to go.
Love his SPs, especially the option to turn Giant down, then up again in your turn.
Short lived, but EXTREMELY annoying when well played.
And that first slot is pretty dangerous too!
Too bad the sculpt sucks big time...
I think this guy is awesome. Pair him with Ms. Skrull-vel and they're a nearly unbeatable team. Between his willpower and her indomitable you most likely will not get out-actioned. Plus his ability to turn off the giant status allows her to taxi him into stealth. Always position him behind Ms. Marvel and he's protected by her stealth, yet can shoot over her. Plus they both have outwit, so you're turning off your opponent's powers. A very devastating combo.
Six clicks of outwit and 4 of psychic blast, one with 4DaV, willpower and giant LOS is nasty no matter how you look at it; even at 100 points without damage reducers. You'll have to play him a little carefully; perhaps even ignore his giant status and charge (though charging in with super strength and a heavy object on click 2 could prove worthwhile). Traitor could spell doom for Suicide Squad teams. Pack Protected onto him and have some fun.
I Played this figure so much one of the more Prize Sharky players at my Venue stole him out of my Box. Probably for good reason, Outwit+PB+Optional Giant+Willpower? Are you Kidding Me? I cant believe no one mentioned he never drops below 16D or 3Dam ether, and picks up Shape Change when he defense Drops. The guy is so efficient he is practically a simple Machine.
How this character merits only three stars, I'll never know -- He's so good its ridiculous. Skrull and Spy keywords are very usable, and his alternating giant status coupled with Outwit and Psychic Blast for 4 dmg (w/Willpower!) make him an absolute monster. Hide him behind a stealthy ally (particularly a SHIELD character on a spy team), and he's ready to throw down with the best of them.
I love the Skrulls, love them. With the release of the Warskrulls, they became a good team, and since SI, a great team. Yellowjacket here is no exception. What a great piece. The only thing that holds his rating back, is the carpy sculpt. (like all the Skrull versions in SI)
Trade to Canada. We're friendly, and we love Beavers..........
Not bad at all. The only downside is the short dial. His range may seem small, but that can easily be fixed by members of the SHIELD team. He has lots of sweet power combos and a full dial of Outwit and Psychic Blast! The TA is good, as always. Yellowjacket works perfectly on 'Spy' teams.
This guy is 5 stars.
Went against another Skrull team and with this guy I shut down his TA and proceeded to destroy with Infiltrators, a General and Ms. Marvel.
