SUPPRESSIVE FIRE
Cost: 5
Prerequisite: Enhancement or Ranged Combat Expert or
Sharpshooter
Choose a character. At the end of your turn, you can choose a target opposing character 8 or fewer squares away to which the character can draw a clear line of fire; give the chosen character a Suppression token. Until the beginning of your next turn, if the chosen character would be given a ranged combat action or make a ranged combat attack, its controller must roll a d6; on a result of 1 or 2, the attack can’t be made or the action can’t be given (the action can still be given to another character, if possible).
At the beginning of your next turn after the character uses this feat, remove all Suppression tokens from opposing characters and then either remove this feat from the game or roll a d6; on a result of 1–4 give an action token to this character (the token deals pushing damage normally).
What it sounds like to me is that the character with the 'Suppression Token' on it basically has to make (what amounts to) an "Anti-Shape Change" roll whenever they attempt to make a Range Action/Attack vs. any enemy target on the field. Is that how others understand it as well?
Secondly, what happens if the character with SF already has 2 tokens on it at "the beginning of your next turn"? Since you couldn't assign another token, would the feat be automatically removed from the game?

Thanks for your help..
yes its like shape change where u go to targeted square declare ranged attack and roll to see if u can make it or not.
Edit: which also mean if u HSS out to range attack and can't make it you are committed to that square for your attack.
I believe that you are able to put more than just 2 tokens on a target if a game effect allows and this would be one. you would take the normal pushing damage. so your figure would have 3 action tokens on them.
Most ability's/powers state put token on target if they have 0 or 1. this feat does not say that anywhere.
You can never have more than 2 action tokens on a figure. Not even Dark Phoenix or Foom get more than 2.

where does it say that? use they stop receiving tokens. but no where in the rules does it say that u can't have more than 2 tokens. There is just no conventional ways to do it.
Incap: target has to have 0 or 1 tokens to use.
Theme Team prob: token has to go on a fig with 0 or 1 tokens on it.
giving action: can not have 2 actions tokens. (this ability is not giving him an action there for its this does not stop it.)
may be others i am missing but they all say 0 or 1 action tokens or can not have 2.
edit: Foom and others: states not to put another token on them.
First off, as the action is invalidated rather than the target, it's worth noting that a 'Suppressed' ranged attacker cannot simply target someone else, ala Shape Change. He cannot be given a ranged combat attack at all; if I read it correctly, however, he could be given a ranged combat attack, get suppressed, and instead attempt a ranged combat action. THAT I would need a pro's ruling on.
As for the action, my guess would be that it'd be removed, as that character couldn't be given an action token. I can't think of another reason for the removed option (well, I can, but it seems so one-off).
my whole thing says that the action can not be given and can be given to someone else. so if u HSS out and fail the roll it mean that it could not have been given so how can u give that action to someone else? the way they say it is is if u go out fail i have taken the action and have to give them an action token. even though the feat says that the action can be given to someone else.

I think that means that, of your three allotted actions, you aren't losing one to this attempt. No token is placed on the suppressed character, and that action from your pool can still be used; not just on the suppressed character, but alternatively for anyone else you choose.
Is Suppressive Fire like a reverse-Shape Change/Skrulls where you can switch to the next target (if any are available) or (if SF roll 'succeeds') does it stop ANY ranged attack/action for that turn?
Additionally, the wording seems to indicate that, if the Ranged Attack/Action is 'suppressed', the action could be given to someone else "if possible". This, I assume, means that if the clix is in the middle of an action that culminates in a ranged action/attack (i.e. Running Shot, HSS), that clix would get the action token no matter what. However, if the clix was 'sniping' (ie. no prior movement), the attack could be aborted and the action could be assigned to another character on the board.
(Don't know how I missed it...I searched for 'Suppressive Fire')
I remember that! The unresolved part concerned WHEN you would make the suppressive fire roll. Either before ANY action that eventually involves a ranged combat action/attack or only before an immediately following ranged combat action/attack. For example, would a tokened figure roll before movement while trying a HSS/Running Shot power action or after movement and before the free ranged combat attack/action? Harpua... Quebbster...
Is this an 'all-or-nothing' roll? Meaning, is it like a 'break away' roll (like someone mention above), except there is no token assigned? OR can after being 'suppressed', can the character take a different non-ranged action? (Move, Charge, Attack Close Combat)
SUPPRESSIVE FIRE: blah, blah, blah...on a result of 1 or 2, the attack can’t be made or the action can’t be given (the action can still be given to another character, if possible).
Binnister, right. It's like a failed breakaway without the token.
Saturnflight, very good question. I'd say you can because it doesn't say otherwise. It'd probably be best to do this Suppression when your Suppressor is pushed as you've got absolutely nothing to lose.
Are you a PbP'r (Play By Poster)? Come and check out www.creationmatrix.com; we've got EVERYTHING.
I can't believe they haven't answered that yet. I even put the question on the nperb thread with quebbster and Harpua answering questions.....sigh.
I still see it as a ranged version of entanglethough. As for running shot or Hypersonic you would have to roll before you make the actual shot:
For running shot, you would still move the half movement, but before you shoot you'd have to roll because after you stop...thats when the ranged action comes into play.
Same thing with hypersonic. You'd move to your destination, but you'd have to roll once you stopped and actually tried to shoot.
This feat is very entangle like:
Prerequisites: Plasticity
Choose a character.
Opposing characters attempting to target the character with a close combat attack must roll one six-sided die before making the attack. On a result of 1 or 2, the opposing character cannot attack the character. It is not given an action token, but it cannot be given another action or make another attack that turn.
