Oh, and I just realised that this wonderful little BFC effectively cuts the risk of being injured in half! Doom is most pleased with this turn of events!

First turn to follow immediately

Latveria: Turn 1

"The initial test was as successful as Doom would have expected, but it is clear to a mind as brilliant as Doom's that a mere reproduction of the Power Cosmic will never be enough!" Doom's cold voice echoes through the sinister chambers. "For Doom to reach the peak of Divinity as he truly deserves, nothing but the genuine article will suffice!"

The Scientist Supreme looks up from his notes, clearly unnerved by Doom's train of thought. "But Lord Doom, even with the amazing technology available to us, and incorporating both Kree and Skrull designs we simply can't recreate a reliable, and stabile form of the Power Cosmic. Without an actual functioning and renewable source it's like freezing a fusion reaction in time!"

"Silence minion!" Doom scowls. "Doom is fully aware of these petty concerns, and has already taken steps to rectify them. At this very moment, the former Herald of Galactus himself, the Silver Surfer, is on his way to this location. Once he arrives, and has submitted to the foregone conclusion that is Doom's victory you will have all the data, and the power source you require for the machine. And Doom shall have what is rightfully his from birth at last!"

The Scientist Supreme looks at Doom eyes wide-open in disbelief. "The Surfer is coming here? But why? How can you be sure?"

"He is coming" Doom laughs "Because Doom has invited him! Come my minions, let us prepare for the arrival of our most honoured guest!"

1) "You, Kree! Today you shall prove the worth of your species to your new Master!" Doom picks up the Kree Warrior and flies forward, dropping the Kree in front of him

free) "There is no time to wait. His arrival is imminent!" Doom perplexes the speed of the Doombot up to 7

2) "The Master commands, we obey!" The Doombot intones, picking up the Scientist Supreme as it advances, dropping him behind itself

3) "Uplink to central computer secured, network established, all systems operational!" The Processing Hub reports, flying forward to join the Master.

I'm quite certain there is no possible way Doom could get damaged during your turn, but should you find some way to break reality and damage him Doom will use Protected

"Norrin?" Strange commented, flying along side the Sentinel of the Skyways along with the gregarious Gargoyle and Moon Knight hopping atop the Surfer's board. "Where are we headed?"

As they flew, Dr. Strange had noticed the green landscape, marked with patches of white snow, and recognized that they were deep in the European continent.

"To Castle Doom, Stephen." The Surfer said, without emotion. "Dr. Doom, the villain of villainy, has offered me an audience. He's offered me a chance to make it home, to my beloved Shalla Bal. I can not turn down an offer such as this."

"Norrin, my friend." The Gargoyle offered, "You realize that this is likely a trap? To steal your power cosmic?"

"Of course, Isaac. I am no fool. I believe in man kind. That is, nor will I ever believe it to be, a fools errand. I must give Dr. Doom this one chance to uphold a sense of humanity. Though, be forewarned. If this is in fact another attempt on my power, he will get his wish. The full might of the power cosmic will be upon him, without mercy. He will feel my rage."

"Doesn't look like a welcome greeting." Moon Knight offered, using his Moon-noculars from his Moon-Belt. "I see a cadre of Doombots, and I believe a Kree. Also an agent of AIM, but I can't be positive."

"Thank you, Moon Knight. You seem much more stable today. I was worried back at the asylum." Strange added.

"Yeah." Moon Knight offered, darkly, before jumping off the board, pulling out a Moon-Glider, and landing on his Moon-Shoes (Copyright Mattel).

As the Defenders lowered in on Castle Doom, the canons and hordes of Doombots began firing, as the cadre of heroes deftly avoiding them, bashing through the roof, appearing in the main hall of Castle Doom.

1) "What is this trickery Doom!? Another petty attempt to control that which you have no comprehension!?" The Surfer screamed, as he and Moon Knight (Carrying) flew to the side of the room to offer a better vantage point.

2) Gargoyle grabs a mass of roof (HO), and flies down behind the cover of a computer bank.

3) Strange quickly teleported (Phasing) to join them, as he prepared a number of defensive spells, to oppose those that Dr. Doom favored.

Latveria: Turn 2

"And just as Doom has predicted, it has come to pass!" Doom smiles under his iron mask.

"Sufer, welcome to the home of Doom. Perhabs you are not yet familiar with Earth customs, but in the country of Doom, it is customary to bring a gift to the host as a sign of your respect. The key to the Power Cosmic coursing through your being should do nicely!"

1) "Moving into position. The lapdog of the Great Devourer will not escape!" The Kree swears, moving forward

2) "All scanners are collecting data as we speak. Soon we will have the basis of a working theory!" The Scientist Supreme reports, moving forward as well

free) "Bah! Doom cares not for theories or projected hypotothesises. Doom demands results!" Doom transfers more power to his flight belt, perplexing his own movement up to 9

3) "Once again Surfer, Doom welcomes you to Latveria. Perhabs you will find Doom's country so much to your liking that your stay becomes somewhat longer than you had imagined!" Doom flies forward, unleashing a massive gauntlet blast towards the Silver Sentinel!
Doom makes a running shot (with his perplexed movement), taking a +1 range bonus from the Kree Warrior for a total range of 9 which is just enough to reach the Surfer. 11 (+1 from Hydra) atk. vs 18 def. Needs a 6. Roll is: (6,6) for a 12 and a critical hit (damn, what a way to start this!)!

Okay, you've got two choices available to you now, either Surfer takes 2, is injured, gets knockbacked two squares directly backwards and has his token removed *or* Surfer burns protected, avoids the injury, gets a second token which gives him a click of damage from the push and then (once the action is resolved) removes one token leaving him with one. I'll leave the choice up to you

At any rate that's 1 SA for Doom and 1 AST for the Kree. No pushing damage due to Indomitable!

As he speaks, the rest of the Defenders spring into action.

1) Gargoyle glides in front of the Surfer, using the mound of Machinery to block anything that Doom might attempt. Gargoyle is a bit strained from the attempt.

2) Moon Knight moves in, preparing to Pounce upon the good Doctor.

And it'll go without saying, but until I say otherwise, Gargoyle will PC any succesful breakaways/attacks, priority going to that of Doom.

And Defenders (Silver Surfer, Strange, Gargoyle) will share the highest defense (Currently 18 from the Surfer)
