"Spider-man Foils Doctor Octopus!" read the headline on the latest edition of the Daily Bugle.
"After rampaging across New York for the past three days, the deranged scientist Otto Octavius, better known as the villainous Doctor Octopus has finally been thwarted by the costumed vigilante Spider-man. While no arrest was made, Octopus's defeat has reputedly sent him into hiding and ending the recent crime wave. Octopus' rampage having occured on the heels of a string of such "supper villain" attacks, New York now hopes to return to some sense of normalcy, and begin rebuilding the damage that the criminal community has wrought. Federal authorities are continuing an investigation to locate and detain Octavius, a specially prepared cell even having been designed by SHIELD engineers specifically to contain him. As for Spider-man, in this reporter's opinion we all owe a debt of gratitude to Queens' infamous wall-crawler for putting an end to this recent surge in superhuman crime."
"Shyeah, not likely." Mac Gargan grumbled. He wasn't really interested in the story, so he ceased reading the article. All it was accomplishing was making him mad.
Unfolding the paper revealed an envelope addressed to him had been tucked inside. Mac Gargan, better known to the world as The Scorpion, opened the letter and scanned the contents. The information inside was brief, but vital.
Sitting at a bus stop in a civilian disguise, Scorpion was completely inconspicuous to the untrained eye. Dressing to avoid notice was a skill he had learned back in his private eye days, and it served him equally well since he had moved on to his new line of employment.
The bus stop was only a few minutes walk from a state penitentiary that holding the targets of his little "rescue mission". Or rather, only four out of the five had been imprisoned there; the fifth was impossible to hold with mere bars and needed a more specialized cell arranged at a different location. But that was for tomorrow night, for now Scorpion had his instructions spelled out for him on a simple card:
"Second floor, D block, south end. Strike at 11:00 PM sharp.
-Master Planner"
Scorpion crumpled the smuggled message in one fist, his adrenaline starting to flow. He counted down the minutes, casually walking the circumference of the prison's electric fence. Locating the best point of entry, Scorpion pulled his mask from his coat pocket and slipped it on. Two minutes to go. He doffed his concealing trench coat and pulled on his gloves. One minute.
Coiling his tail behind him like a spring, Mac Gargan effortlessly leaped well over the fence, landing fifty yards beyond it and inside the prison grounds. As soon as he hit the ground Scorpion bounded off again, this time springing onto the side of a cell block, on the second floor. A swing of his tail and the brick wall crumbled.
Immediately the prison's sirens blared to life, flashing red lights and alarm bells alerting every guard on duty to the breach. Scorpion reminded himself that speed was of the essence here, the very reason he had not brought along his stronger, slower business partner. As much fun as it would be to beat up every guard in the prison, Scorpion needed to stick to the plan; spring the prisoners on his list, then dash outside for pickup by helicopter before any big guns like the Avengers could be alerted. Still, he could enjoy the fight while it lasted.
"Get ready!" Mac called out to the guards within earshot, "Tonight the Scorpion strikes!"
There was not much the rank-and-file guards could do to actually hurt him, but they could slow him down. And there was always the chance that this prison had invested in one of Stark Enterprise's new Mandroid security-bots. Those things could be a real pain. Hopefully if he was able to quickly dispatch a few guards the others might back off and let him do his job in peace.
All around him convicted criminals were shouting from their cells for some small mercy, for Mac to tear open their cages and grant them some chance at freedom as well. But Scorpion had no time for them; he had his list, and he would stick to it.
Adrian Toomes, Quentin Beck, Sergei Kravinoff and Max Dillon.
Now, where to find them?
The Sinister Six
R Scorpion 29pts
Prison Guards
R GCPD <Alpha> 20pts
B Security Guard <HT> 6pts
BC:*BACK-ALLEY BRAWL (Sinister #002): Characters who make close combat attacks using no powers, feats, or team abilities and who are not affected by the powers, feats, or team abilities of any friendly character get +2 to their attack values.
Special Rules:
- All of the cell doors are closed, and all walls are unbroken.
- Whenever a Sinister Six character ends their turn adjacent to a cell door, he can open it as a free action. Roll 1d6. The Sinister Six player must place the appropriate figure inside the cell and add them to his team:
1: No one (Empty cell)
2: R Vulture <IC> 15pts
3: R Electro <Sin> 30pts
4: R Mysterio 44pts
5: LE Kraven the Spider 39pts
6: Mystery Ally (PM WakandaMan for result)
If a 2-5 is rolled and that character has already been added to the team, the next character down the list is gained instead. If any characters are not added to team by the end of the game, they may not be used for the rest of the arc.
For every cell door that is opened, the Prison Guards gain one reinforcement in their starting area on their next turn (whether the cell was empty or not). They roll 1d6 and gain the appropriate figure from the list below. That figure is then removed from the list and those listed below it move up one space. If the Prison Guards run out of figures on the list and an empty slot is rolled then they get no reinforcements:

Christ did not come to condemn the world, but to save it.
You get 1 action per 100 pts that are currently activated, rounded to the nearest 100, and we'll use whichever side has the most points to base it on. So once one of you gets at least 150 pts of figures, then you both will get two actions instead of 1, but for now it is only one each.
Gargan, you can't use a character that has just been released on tthat turn.

Blaring sirens and alarms goes off all across the prison alerting everyone to the jailbreak in progress. Over the noise of the alarms, the roar of the inmates and the general chaos and confusion the sound of boots pounding on concrete is almost drowned out as guards from all over the prison rushes to deal with the situation before things get out of hand.
"What's the situation here Jenkins?" The Sergeant gasps, out of breath, having run non-stop all the way from the armory. "Looking bad sir, we've got a confirmed super-powered breakout in progress, and the intruder is headed straight for the extra-security holding cells, the ones we keep the inmates scheduled for transit to the Vault this week!"
"DAMNED!" The Sergeant exclaims. "I told the chief it was insane to keep these psychoes looked up here, extra security or not we're just not equipped to deal with these things!" Jenkins looks around nerveously before he continues. "It gets worse sir, we've already got one holding cell compromised, records indicate it's the one belonging to one Dillon, Maxwell..."
"Ah hell Jenkins, you know I don't keep up on the who's who of these costumed freaks. Which one is he?" Jenkins swallows before continuing "He would be the one the media has dubbed *Electro* Sarge, and once he's out of his insulated cell, there's nothing holding him, or his powers, back!"
"Just when I didn't think this could get any worse" the Sergeant growls. "You, rookie, get on the phone with the armory and the special trouble-shooting division and get them up here ASAP! We'll have to hold them until the golden boys can be bothered to boot up so until then all we can do is pray and hope that Tony Stark's toys are worth the ungodly pile of money the city's paid for them!"
1) Trooper Jenkins runs forward to G12 and draws his sidearm. "Freeze!" He yells as he trains his gun at the Scorpion!

"Wake up, kid. You're due for an early parole!" joked Scorpion, wrenching the door of Electro's cell open.
Inside the cell was an unassuming young man of 20, with buzzed-short hair and gangly limbs only recently finished growing. In any other setting he'd have been another indistinguished face in the crowd, a nobody. But under the unimpressive surface, Maxwell Dillon was anything but ordinary.
"Really? You're busting me out?" Electro asked, hardly believing that good fortune had actually come his way for once. In a burst of exuberance electricity arced between Electro's palms as he exclaimed, "Alright! Let's ROCK!"
"Freeze!" came the shouted command of Trooper Jenkins, drawing Scorpion's attention to him.
Scorpion smirked, raising his arms in mock surrender. "Whatever you say officer. I'll come quietly. But I can't say the same for my friend here..."
Electro sprinted out of his cell, his body throwing off a shower of sparks. Jenkins had to shield his eyes, the blue and white light was so intense. The young criminal laughed as he rushed the hapless cop, his body and personality both displaying his boundless energy.
Little did Electro realize however, that the electro-magnetic energy he was throwing off had the side-effect of disabling the electronic locks of the cell behind him.

"There's trouble down at the armory!" A breathless young guard exclaims as he comes running up the stairs. "Some of the armour's got a bad power coupling or something! Anyways, the chief say's we're to hold the line and keep this contained until they can get the heavy stuff working!"
"Well ain't that just great kid. Not only have we got the freak in the green suit with the tail to deal with, but his sparky pal has just overloaded the lock to that cell. Who's in there anyways?" The trainee and the green guard both look at the Sergeant in confusion. "No idea sir, the trainee finally offers. Jenkins is the one with that information..."
1) "Oh for crying out loud, what ELSE can go wrong?" The sergeant yells, exasperated. "You, get in there and give Jenkins some back-up before he gets fried! The kid and I will try to get in touch with someone with access to the records so we can find out who, or what's in that cell!" The R Prison guard catches his breath and runs to G8

The cell door opened and a skinny guy came out. "Thanks for the assist mate. I owe you guys one."
"Who are you anyway?" Dillon replied.
The skinny crook picked up a thin fragment of metal. "The name's Fred Myers, but you probably know me better as.....Boomerang!" He bent the piece of metal into his namesake and gave a toothy grin.
You got R Boomerang <IC> 24pts.
NOTE: If you roll another 6, there are more potential 'mystery guests'
Christ did not come to condemn the world, but to save it.
You guys should keep track of the point values of the figures you use, so that you can easily see when someone reaches 150pts, and also it makes it easy for doing the calculations at the end of the game.
