Clixcast: Episode 18 Keywords?!
In this Episode, Steve and Gudda talk about Keywords, Some changes that would probably be welcomed and give some ideas on some Dials they'd like to see in Hammer of Thor. Also they give the listeners a little homework!

Homework eh? Dang! Now I have to wait until I get home to download the 'cast so I can figure out what it is!

Arghh!!! The anticipation!!!

I appreciate that you guys ripped on the Spidey I sculpted (admitedly the worst of my sculpts) and then mere moments later praised my Black Adam good times.

You guys should really check out Annihilation, I've only read the first part and it was awesome. It's like the Dirty Dozen in space. Rocket Racoon is the strategic brains of the opperation and my thoughts on his click focus heavily on that.

Cost: 50
Range: 6
Targets: 2

Movement:
6 to start, sliding down to a 4 (he is a racoon after all). Leap climb all the way down. (I'm thinking he should be about 5 clix deep or less)

Attack:
10 to open, stepping down to a mid dial 8 and then picking back up to a 10 for his last click. With a few clix of incap scattered around to enhance his dual target which represents him out smarting his enemies.

Defense:
16 dropping to a 14, opening defend click to represent him coordinating the team and keeping them safe. Last few clicks with ES to represent his small size.

Damage:
2's and 1's, opening with a PC click, then a mid dial outwit and a end dial support click.

ill be sure to stress this in the next cast ...and i think i may have brought this up on a past clixcast ( though it may not have aired ) That i never want to blame the sculpters (sculptors) for crapy looking figs ... i have seen tons of the pre work you guys do, the stuff that wizkids gets and seen how great it is then seen the crappy mass produced #### they put out that probably looses hours of work spent on great detail. Black adam is a great figue ... I know the spidey had to look better when you did it compared to the thing we got. I wish black adam wasnot a super rare i would love to have a ton of those sculst for mods.

If I didn't have a sense of humor about the Spidey I'd be curled up in the bottom of my closet right now.

You're right, a lot of detail washes out between initial sculpt and final product but it's also my job to make needed adjustments to ensure the sculpt looks rad. Obviously I was still learning how things worked when Spidey was made. Several factors contributed to Spidey being less than Spectacular but that's a story for another time.

I plan on making a new lamp post Spidey in the next few months to atone for my crimes just as a personal piece.

A perpetually changing list of Keywords would be my worst nightmare, I hate them a lot. They add a huge amount of pointless complication to the game.

Speed - Scurry: Rocket Raccoon may use Leap/Climb and Running Shot
Attack - Hitch a Ride: Rocket Raccoon may use Energy Explosion. When adjacent to a friendly character with the symbol, Rocket Raccoon may draw line of fire from that character's square as if he possessed the Giant Damage symbol.

Shame on anyone not reading the new Guardians of the Galaxy.

I totally disagree. They only add 2 concepts to the game. A little Probability control and an added bonus for map choice. The Probability Control works similar in concept as the Crime Syndicate DC Team Ability. It doesn't add that much complexity. I think the only thing that is complicated is the whole generic vs non generic keyword thing and the 1 character per 100 generic vs 150 non-generic. If what Gudda said were to take place it wouldn't matter...get rid of generic keywords.

My question though...should the KC Batman have the Geriatric Keyword?

We have been shamed Gudda. Anyhow's great dial and love the name "Scurry" for the one ability. Great use of the word.

well i just checked the keywords for armor wars cap. I do have to admit its supposed to be steve .. the rookie has past .

As to not reading GotG im trying to keep my expenses down and not collect the Cosmic stuff .. i know i would probably love it but my wallet has to draw the line somewhere ...When every think is collected I might get it ( though i havent gotten Annihilation yet.)

Thanks, and its when he is next to Giants he can use the special. I copied from an old post where the symbol was, but is now missing.

Basically, he pals around with a living tree named Groot, and uses him as a sniper perch at times.
