I tried to think of any female in the MU that could have Impervious on their defense. It seems fairly easy for the male characters to get it and I wonder why only Nova and Phoenix have it?
Possible Candidates include She-Hulk, Ms Marvel, Rogue (when she had Ms Marvel's Power), Emma Frost. I think She-Hulk and Ms Marvel are almost as tough as the Thing, Colossus, Captain Britain... and Emma Frost, in diamond form, IS impervious to harm unless you hit her flaw.

Okay, so I get that they aren't necessarily as tough as their male counterparts (Hulk, Captain Marvel) but look who HAS at least one click of Impervious... Gorgon, Captain America, Man-Thing, Major Victory, etc.

So I guess the question is: Is it that the ladies don't deserve Impervious? Or should they have given it to some of the men that DO have it?

Just Curious to see if anyone else thought about it.

By contrast, DC has Wonder Woman, Barda, Supergirl, Cameron Chase, Power Girl, Superwoman and Mary Marvel. However, there are many versions of WW and Supergirl.

Impervious used to be something they gave out sparingly. In fact for the first 3 sets of Marvel it wasnt even used at all. Critical Mass introduced Imperv to Marvel.

But does she deserve it?

Can she take a hit better than Ms. Marvel or She-Hulk?

It's possible. She hasn't taken a lot of hits but she has yet to be hurt. I mean, when she was hit over the head with Excavator's shovel, she broke it. Plus, her strength is probably pretty close to theirs. She ripped off Cloak's cape and she held a monster the size of a skyscraper over her head.

Impervious did not exist as a power in Marvel until Critical Mass. It wasn't given out sparingly, just only used for DC and Indy.

I don't know if Ms. Marvel is someone who deserves impervious. I could see She-Hulk kind of, but no one else really.

Also, only the Ultimate Thing has impervious, and there's only one 616 Colossus with one single click of Impervious.
