Time itself has begun to rupture. Although Maxwell Lord was prevented from his total domination time has still been rent asunder. Superman was flung thousands of years in the future, the Society has split into warring factions as has the Justice League and multiple Batmen and Supermen have appeared. If that wasnt bad enough the walls of our reality are degrading and another universe has begun to seep in and we see they are even more at odds with each other than we are.
Some teams have split into Dark and Light factions others have more superlatives than a 90s comic book. Alien Invaders clash with mere children. And they too feel the crush of multiple dimensions as Zombies, Brotherhoods and a group that is a pale pastiche of the Justice League fitz in. But they too thankfully have a group looking to rght their world. they call themselves the Exiles i call them kindred spirits.
I have plucked a group from various points in time to be a new JLI to work alonsgide Booter and Beetle to save the multiverse itself. Heaven help us if we fail. In order to evaluate them I have placed them in a computer simulation against one of the worst groups from the other verse and the one group who I fear who could most take advantage of the falling barriers for they posses those who can also manipulate space and time

"Useless, huh?" Kang pulled out a Plasma pistol and shot it at Vulture's feet. "Are you crazy!" Vulture yelled, flying up in the air and narrowly dodging the blast.

"let that be a warning bird. Watch yourself."

While the three villains quarreled, Doctor Doom had much more important things to tend to.

Rewiring the last circuit, Victor Von Doom closed Ultron's circuitboard and activated the man-hunting beast.

"Destroy all fleshlings, master," Ultron's monotonous voice said. Doom smiled and walked to the other three villains, still quarreling.

"...all I'm saying is that the comics are enjoyab-"

"Silence Vulture!" Doom bellowed with an aura of authority.

"Come minions. We have a battle to fight and a home to return to. Nor even Mephisto's challenge shall prove difficult to Doom." And with a sweep of his cape, Doom walked off in the distance with Ultron trailing close behind him.

"Who's he calling a minion? Huh!" Vulture angrily sneered. "I mean if I'm a minion of Doom, why don't I have wildcard ability, huh?"

"What are you babbling about, bird" Kang sharply inquired.

"Oh you wouldn't understand. Nothing at all..."
