"Daughter!" Ra's glowers, "Do not let your dalliance with Luthor and his corporation cloud you to our objective. We are not capitalists!! Money means nothing to us, but a means to our end. And our end remains the same as it ever was. Assist our planet with purging itself of the gluttonous excess that has clogged its arteries, and robbed it of its luster!" The Demon's Head calms himself before continuing, "He is a Force of Nature. The Detective thinks one such as he can be contained. Controlled. This is not the case and it is not what I desire to do. You let the Force of Nature do it's job. And to that end, he is useful to our objective. Do you not agree, Ubu? After all, you used him in a similar fashion not so long ago."

The man mountain, simple nods.

"Good" Ra's continues, "Now Talia, know that all of our secrets will not be exposed to him, but command of the foot soldiers, assistance with the purge, I can think of none better to utilize to distract the Detective."

The newly brainwashed Ben Turner enters, "They are ready, sir"

"Excellent," Ra's smiles slightly. "I must be off to oversee this operation."

"What the hell was Ra's thinking, the f'in Joker?!?" Merlyn speaks to the Riddler. "I mean you I get, even Alchemy a good professional, but him. This is a disaster waiting to happen."

Edward Nigma glances at Merlyn and begins to explain Ra's motives. "To understand this choice, you have to understand that for Ra's Al Ghul every move for every day leads to the moment before midnight. And the Joker does that in spades."

Merlyn looks puzzled, "What the hell does that even mean?"

Riddler sighs, "Sorry, force of habit. Joker is the trump card in Ra's plan to bring forth the end of days."

"Then why are we here? "

"You didn't read the briefing did you." Alchemy pipes up.

"All mine said was target who Joker says target."

"Keeping it simple for stupid I see," Alchemy laughs

"I'll show you stupid," Merlyn notches his bow and with a swift motion fires off at Dr. Alchemy.

A smirk forms on Dr. Alchemy's face as the arrow gets transmuted into water in mid flight. "Boy, I fight the Flash regularly, Call me when you're actually ready to wear the big boy pants."

Ra's steps out of the portal, "Merlyn. I will warn you once. Focus on our enemies. An attack on any member of the League will be treated as an attack on my own person. That goes for all of you. Now what is our status?"

"The transdimensional doohickeymabob planted us in these nice shiny crash dummy bodies," Joker's toothy grin gleams as he turns the image inducer off then back on, "Mine even has a seat belt strap on it."

"Good to know Dr. Ivo and Dr. Sivana are competent," Ra's thinks to himself.

"So our minds have been projected into another dimension through this portal?" Merlyn looks down at his hands again.

"Yes" Ra's taps Merlyn's shoulder, resonating a clang, to help emphasize the point.

"And our bodies are where exactly?" Merlyn asks.

"A subdimensional offshoot of The Phantom Zone, obviously. Reversed engineered from Prometheus' Zone Key from the looks of it," Riddler answers.

"Why?" Merlyn questions

Riddler says "Do you like broken bones and bruises?"

"No."

"There you go."

"I like bruises. They match my suit, it's quite stylish you know." Joker comments.

Ra's brings an end to the digression. "We are here to analyze readings of a Superman class extradimensional being. Since our last encounter with such a being went less than ideal, I would like to examine the data more closely in case we have to deal with more of these beings. There are files here that needs accessing. Now move."

I would double check with the judges about DFDs like that for smoke cloud. I know with barrier you have to prevent the enemy from attacking ANYONE on your team (which is pretty dang frustrating when trying to get DFDs). I have never used smoke cloud but I would imagine it is the same.

You may be right about the barrier/ smoke cloud difference. It seemed logical that it would be the same ruling for both, but our rules aren't always logical.
