I browse the trading and sales forums a few times per week, and although my Haves list is getting rather depleted, I'm still buying clix on HCR. It is probably the best way to actually find what you're looking for.
However, many people are still only prepared to mail to U.S. addresses. It almost seems like there are more "U.S. only" threads than there used to be - probably because I've seen some of those threads relisted over and over (with heaps of unsold figures), whereas people willing to do international sales and trades are more likely to move their clix.
I find this especially perplexing when it comes to sales threads. You're going to pass along the extra postage cost to the customer anyway - are filling out customs forms in the U.S. really that annoying? Where I live it is practically the same process to mail something overseas as it is to mail domestically.
Maybe we need to hear more positive international trades/sales experiences to encourage more people to give it a go.
I'll start by saying that when dealing with the people who trade every week and are used to mailing overseas, I've been impressed by how accommodating some of them are. Unlike the gougers on eBay (twenty bucks to ship a clix figure? Is it a Gold Scooby Doo?) they often just add a couple of dollars to the shipping cost.
PayPal is a powerful tool for when you're buying from an international seller; although some people don't like it, it beats the time delay of cheques, bank drafts, and money orders. If the seller is taking a significant hit from PayPal's fees, they should discuss it with the buyer - I know that I'd usually be prepared to add a little extra if this was an issue.
The one thing that I am not a fan of is the lack of delivery confirmation when sending internationally. However it doesn't stop me from doing it, but it prevented me from doing international trades for my first year or two on the realms.

Preaching to the choir...., we probably have more traders on our blocked list (on HC Realms) due to the USA only mention than most.
Or perhaps following Obama's protectionist Buy American Policy
Besides this is no different than Ebay. There are tons of USA Only sellers there who won't ship abroad, and thank goodness for them because they allow people like us market share
From our own ebay me section (and in each listing).:
International bidders are always welcome. I have successfully shipped to: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bermuda, Brazil, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea South, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Russian Federation, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, UK, Venezuela, and all across the USA and Canada.
In this economy we don't understand why not? Just protect yourself by sending insured.
What would our itrader score be if sellers posted feedback, before waiting for us? . We are Canadian and as such we deal International.

That's great for the seller (and I have jumped on sale threads that have stuff I need and are willing to send it to me) but it'd be nice to have more options!
Besides our neighbors to the North, I've shipped to Brazil, UK, and Philippines easily enough. Quite worth the "hassle" of filling out the customs form (takes 30 seconds) since I got the IC Bruce Banner and Victor Creed by paying a couple extra bucks in shipping.
I've had almost nothing but positive experiences with international trades. About the only sketchy instance was back in the '90s, when I was purchasing a couple boxes of Italian M:tG cards. Apparently, the Italian post office *really* loves shipping stuff in brown paper. So the shipper wraps the two boxes in paper, but then he ties the twine along the crease where the two boxes met. So I ended up receiving *one* box, with a torn brown paper shell that had been almost surgically cut by the shipping twine. Guy was apologetic as all heck, though, and ended up refunding the entire purchase price.
Here, I've had really positive experiences trading with Germany (sending some stuff to EmperorNorton in the next week or two, in fact), Brazil, the Philippines, the U.K., and New Zealand. I even asked to be assigned an overseas player when I did the Secret Santa exchange a couple years back. I need to actually get a trade thread together one of these days, just so I can stress that non-U.S. traders are welcome.
I shipped to Brazil a few months ago for the first time, and it wasn't as bad as I though, and I'm gonna be sending stuff tomorrow to Zero...I think the big thing I had to get over was just the uncertainty of the whole process...it's just so easy to send stuff to people in the U.S., because we don't have to think about it, but sending stuff internationally is unchartered territory for most.
Almost all my trades are international trades. I am from Canada and i trade with a lot of Americans down south and i have not had any problems. I only lost one of my packages once in all my trades
I am equal opportunity trading all the way! I even got a pack of vegemite with one Aussie trader, lol! Seriously, I don't even ask when negotiating a trade, I never even know until the addresses are exchanged
Personally, I prefer to trade Internationally, as Canada Post is too expensive to ship with-in Canada. I've done trades to the UK, Phillipines, Spain, Italy, Norway, and many many trades to the US.
As long as the trade is worth paying the shipping for, I have no problems. I'm just not keen (won't do it) on making a trade for a few nons/1-2 low end uniques, when it's going to cost me a minimum of $5.00 for shipping.
Trade to Canada. We're friendly, and we love Beavers..........
I've had no international trade problems that I can recall. I've traded to England, Germany, Norway, Canada and probably some others that I can't recall right now. As long as you follow your general trading guidelines that you do for stateside traders, it's really not more of a hassle. Except for the extra slip you need to fill out it's just like a trade in the States.
