In the past, Gargantua and I have committed to some big single elimination tournaments to see who was best team in Clix. We determined the best team at 300 points (Defenders), 500 points (Avengers) and 800 points (JSA). Well we're at it again, but this time to make things interesting we're randomizing the point values to see which team is best - at any point value.

Teams must still be able to field 800 points in named figures, no dupes to qualify. Only those figures with the TA on their base may be used, so Hypertime U Flash can't be on the JSA team, but the AA version of him can.

We're at the quarterfinals now. Remaining teams as as follows:

Gargantua will be playing: Skrulls, JLA, Batman Allies and Sinister Syndicate
Flyingicarus will be playing: Brotherhood, X-Men, Titans, and Avengers

Point value of each game will be determined by random die roll, 1d6 +2, x100 for a range of 300-800. No feats will be used

Only one character per team, the one with the highest point value, will be able to use the TA (to keep teams like Mystics and Bat Allies from being too annoying). If he's KOd, then the highest point figure remaining picks up the TA. For teams that require two members to work (like Sinister Syndicate) any piece may be used to trigger the ability, but only the highest point figure may actually use it.

Map for this one is going to be DCD with the 5 buildings. Not the best map for me, but we'll see how it goes.

"War makes for strange allies," Ra's al-Ghul conceded to him.

"What you haven't told us, Ra's, is what we're all doing here," the Penguin squawked.

"Yeah, spit it out," Scarface, the Ventriloquist's dummy, shot in.

"Quite simply, the death of the Caped Crusader," Ra's said.

"Now that's a riddle even I can't figure out," the Riddler said. "How is kidnapping this professor going to do that?"

"Ah, that's simple," Two-Face said flipping his coin. "He comes to rescue the guy, we jump him. He can't take us all on."

"Two-Face is right," Firefly said. "Any one of us give Batman a hard time. With ten of us here..."

"Eleven," the lowly henchman pointed out.

"...Eleven of us," Firefly continued. "We'll hand him his head on a platter."

"I loooove that mental image," the Joker said. "I do so hope we take it literally."

"Very well," Mr. Freeze said. "Only for the death of the Batman would I stoop to working with some of these others."

"Watch your mouth, Fries," Two-Face warned him. "Before I stick that freeze gun up your..."

"He's here," the Red Hood said, watching from the rooftop with binoculars. "But he's not alone. Looks like he's got quite a crowd of students with him."

"Oh joy! That means collateral damage!" the Joker squealed. "Murder and mayhem! Just the thing for a balmy August night."

"Not that it's any o' your business, wings, but with my healing factor, I couldn't get drunk even if I tried."

"And I thought I was immature," Iceman says.

"You are," Karma replies.

"They're behaving like children," Psylocke says.

"Yes, isn't it wunderbar?" Nightcrawler replies.

"X-Men," Xavier mentally says to his students, "I need your minds alert and open as Cyclops and Phoenix will tell you all that they have learned about our foes."

"They're all enemies of the hero, Batman," Jean starts, "...And they are among the most dangerous and vile villains we're even known."

"So of course it lies with the X-Men to bring them to justice," Cyclops adds. "Simple as that...any questions?".
