Well plain and simple just wondering if anyone here has read Nocturnals by Dan Brereton? I picked up black planet (tpb volume 1) the other day and also ordered the third volume (because I found it dirt cheap) and also bought the one shot carnival of beasts, I still need the 2nd volume and although the HC is coming out tomorrow, I'd rather just have the tpb that was released A while ago. Anyways, I think the art is just incredible, I love the atmosphere of the book and the characters. Anyone out there read it? thoughts?
I haven't really read much outside the occasional Nocturnals appearance in an anthology, but I have a friend who is cuckoo for everything Nocturnals-related. We met Dan Brereton at the last Emerald City Comic Con and he was quite the talker. He was a super nice guy and one of the more memorable creators I talked to this year.
...now, if we can just get Professor Pyg confirmed.
Hey Goodnight, I was just going over the Marvel comics that I will be getting on Wed. 9/2/09 and I found out that Immortal Weapons #2, featuring the Bride of Nine Spiders will be featuring interior art for the main story by Dan Brereton!

THANK you so much for that info! rep to you for sure. I dont know much about Immortal Weapons really, I thought about picking up the first one but since this is the only one out of the 5 that Brereton is doing work in, Ill pick this up for sure tomorrow!
Now that I've read Immortal Weapons #2, I have to say this was not a stellar example of Brereton's work. I didn't hate it, but compared to the kind of stuff we all know he can do, it was kind of tepid.

Yeah you are kinda right although I did enjoy it, his best work is done with the colors he uses within Nocturnals, gunwitch, thrillkiller, ect... - although the art is still great I didnt really get the overwhelming colors and painting experience I am use to. Still though thanks for letting me know he had work in it, good add to the collection
while I was looking through the Vampirella Second Coming covers (which are all amazing btw) I noticed that Dan Brereton will have A cover for the second issue coming out in late october
