First Look:Quasar in Reign of Kings!


Look who's getting Nova'd! This is a complete character redesign and I approve. Cannot wait to read Realm of Kings in November now.

Nova, then Darkhawk, now Quasar. Cosmic Marvel just gets better and better.

I'm not sure what's up with his face, but I like the rest of the costume. I kind of liked the long hair though.

I'm having Hayden Christensen flashbacks. That's one of his three expressions. What range!

Eh, I'm not sold on it - it looks too much like Nova's costume in terms of general shape/armored bits to me. That would make sense if Wendell was going to join the Nova Corps, but otherwise, it's too repetitive for my tastes. I would have preferred putting him in the outfit that Robbie wore for the issues when he was wearing the Nega-Bands.

I agree that it looks TOO much like the new Nova and any new change should have looked more like what happened when Richard had the bands.

Yeah, I meant Richard, not Robbie.

Other than that, I'm happy!

Personally I look at the face and think "Don't give me no Billy Idol lip neither.". LOL

I did say he got "nova'd".


Personally I would've been more than happy with his Annihilation suit but if this what we need to get more Quasar in my comic books then Im not going to complain too loudly.

Ultimately, I'm good with the redesign.

And perhaps Quasar will have something to do with the Nova Corps.

I couldn't agree anymore. Nova redux was my first thought when I saw this costume. I know, it was an ugly costume, but I kinda like Wendell's old 90's outfit. Just give him a new haircut and Wendell will look spiffy in his old costume.

Now we just need someone (COUGH COUGH Abnett/Lanning) to make a new ongoing Silver Surfer series.

I'm going to throw an idea out there - He'll be part of both the Guardians of the Galaxy AND Nova. Kind of like a liaison between the two to help them coordinate efforts and improve the effectiveness of both.

Thanks for the link. I think the costume is appropriate. Last i knew he was in an energy form. (I get all of the Cosmic stuff but a week or 2 late) The Nova suit could be a way for him to take physical form again or a way of keeping his newly aquired form from breaking apart. I like the idea of him being a member of both teams or as some sort of ambassador in the new Realm of Kings.

I am looking forward to what Abnett and Lanning can do with Quasar, I've always thought he was overlooked in the past and wasted on the more Earth-based adventures.

The costume looks pretty spiffy. The only thing I'm not liking is the redeisgn of the Quantum Bands.
