So for next week we are playing a "Banned" tournament.

At the end of our last tournament, each player was allowed to submit one game element that would be "Banned."

It could be a figure, a character, a map, a feat, a BFC, or an object.

These will not be allowed at all.

OR a person could ban a superpower or a team ability. In this case any figure with the banned power or the TA would be treated as if it did not have the power.

This tournament format allows players to cancel whatever game element other player abuse.

We used a sealed ballot to decide on the bans.

The following items were chosen by the players:

Batman
Namor
Stealth
HSS
Running-shot
Charge
Outwit

It's made team building challenging. Needless to say, I think that Transporters, TK and Exploit will be prevalent.

Does that ban cover *all* versions of Namor and Batman, or just specific versions?

It should cover all versions of the character. After all you wouldn't want the KC Bats getting out of hand, and they banned his RS, OW & Character to deal with the cheesiness he brings.

Though my question would be do figures like The Dark Knight & Sub-Mariner count under those names?

They banned the character. No Namor or Sub-Mariner, no Batman, No Dark Knight, no Matches Malone...etc.

Does 'Batman' include other Batman Allies?

And that is why KC Batman was banned from our venue. So cheesey!!

i think it is just batman/bruce wayne...though stealth is also banned and most bat allies use the batman ally stealth as defense...though a where is batman them would be pretty cool XD actually thinking about it...could do a no man's land or a knightfall themed team...

if it's a 300 point tourney...is the batman alpha Oracle, but she'd be more helpful then the other Oracle...if you don't have her i'd switch her with batgirl from AA

Geez, is Charge really that broken? Kind of surprised that Protected didn't make the cut. I'd wager that you'll be seeing a good number of Indomitable/Power Cosmic pieces. If the standard move and attack powers have been outlawed, your best bets are pieces that can act two out three rounds.

One guy here plays Batman EVERY week. Someone got tired of it and banned it for this one game.

I would have loved it if someone had put "MARVEL" and someone put "DC"

Yeah...we did put a few limitations on what people could ban...

fortitude can still counter Exploit Weakness, if you expect to see alot of it.

Also consider SI Starter thing, he does not have charge, but rather something else!

Repulsar shield could be useful, since you dont have to worry about outwit/fortitude

That ought to be an interesting match. If it were me I would break out figures like who lack move and attack powers on there first clicks which handicaps them because in most cases they are gonna get tagged off that first click by someone else using a move and attack power.

Someone like Parrallax thou it would suck that his outwit would be of no use.

So can you not play any figure with the banned powers... or can you just not use the banned powers?

You can play them, but the Charge, RS and HSS don't exist.
