I don't think it's just me who finds Songbird a very unnecessary remake. In the set only the remake of Kingpin (a needed one) ranks worse.

The new Songbird adds nothing much next to the old one and in fact losing her tk makes her less useful. Very pretty piece to look at, though.

Beautiful sculpt, and an OK dial- the special power is OK, strong nerf to barrier/ structural integrity field teams, but outside knowing I'd be playing against barrier teams, I'd likely play the old FF version. TK is such a significant power for a team to have, and going with this songbird means giving it up on a thunderbolts team, so the only time I expect to see that sculpt across the table from me is when someone has rebased it onto the old REV.

What happened to my dear Songbird? Low DV, her AV falls quickly, and she has a low damage at the beginning. Although her mobility is cool, for 83 points I'm not going to play Melissa. I think this figure cannot be the veteran Songbird. I'm very very disappointed with this remake.

Put Repulsor on her. You'll have fun breaking up your opponent's formations. Add Penance as someone for her to carry and they'll be moving opponents all over the place from range without an attack roll. Just be sure there are walls nearby, or place a barrier, so your opponent's character take some damage (don't forget to outwit defenses).

Yes she is :) Fun piece to play, and gotta love that sculpt!

dont know what youre talking about, I cant get enough of this piece! double incapacitate with running shot and barrier to boot always pulls her weight on my thunderbolts teams, great support piece!

Front-loaded double target incap is nice, but would you really want that over TK? One of the few figures that I'd skip over their previous versions. TK is that much more useful. Without the TK, would you really play Songbird over HoT Moonstone? Loss of the TK and an 8 ATK in the middle of an 83 point figure is horrid. Great sculpt, wasted on a below average figure.

with the change to Incap, and the overuse of barrier as of late, I can really see her being used a bit more, and what an amazing sculpt.

With that said, it is still hard to justify using her over her old REV. Opening TK is really useful, and with the keywords she sports almost needed.

But in this day where everyone can have a click of opening TK for 15 points (gauntlet) this piece has options, it feels more like a Swiss army knife with a slot for a silver bullet and I will admit, it felt real good using her against a SIF team and makes the choice to run her worth it :)

I do wish her numbers were a bit higher, or her point value was like 15 points cheaper

Too bad she does not, nor do the older versions, have The Avengers keyword, for an Avengers Forever theme team.

With all the MOE and Thunderbolts love, I would love an updated Screaming Mimi. Here's hoping we get a new one in Civil War year.
