I get that plasticity is for stretchy guys, Steal energy for vampires/people with draining powers, TK for those with actual telekinisis or GL rings, but...
What does Enhancement represent?
Heatwave’s character card makes it sound like it is two characters attacking from range at the same time (it’s called Support Fire). Wouldnt that mean that you would need two attack rolls to represent two characters attacking? What about those enhancement characters without range like nightmare, queen Hypolita, wonder girl, august general in iron, etc.? Is it a magical enhancement? If so, why does it only work at range and why do characters like Taskmaster have it? I’m very confused, please help by letting me know what you think it represents!
"all we have to fear is fear itself."
"what about spiders?"
"yeah, what about spiders!"
I could see enhancement on a character with enhanced senses, radar/sonar, danger sense, cosmic awareness, or psionics to represent "knowing the field of battle and sharing that information with the team".
I can also see leaders having enhancement as well. It would represent their ability to direct the battle for better effect.
I see it on magical characters as a spell or a ward that increases the ability of their teammate to deal damage. Characters like Pluto, Dr. Strange, or Nightmare make sense to me. Other characters make me scratch my head.

It represents the positive reaction to a pep talk. The enhancer is saying "You can do Eeet!"
Positive reinforcement.
I want these clixed: Doc Savage, Fu Manchu, Tarzan, The Shadow, The Green Hornet & Kato, Conan, Solomon Kane, The Phantom, King Kong, Universal Monsters, Black Orchid, Manhunter (Paul Kirk), Xemnu the Titan, unclixed Kirby Fourth World characters, and Lilith, Daughter Of Dracula.

Leadership, the quality not the power, can be represented by several HeroClix Powers. Enhancement is one of them. I could also see Outwit, Perplex, Defend, Support, and Probability Control representing a person's leadership abilities.
Basically, enhancement seems to me like it exists more as a gameplay power than a comic accuracy one. But it can represent characters that work well with others, have powers to enhance other people, or whatever else it seems like it would be a good representation of.

Could be anything...even as simple as the user saying "Hey, aim for his throat, he has a soft spot there in his armor" Spells, or maybe in the Red Hood, he handed him a laser sight for the gun! who knows. really, what does it matter you know? half the stuff in this game doesn't account in comics...like Wasp CARRYING the Hulk or Firelord...yeah, cause that happens all the time.
Contrary to popular belief, I do know what I'm doing
What it's representing. Most powers are self-explanatory or need only minimal thought as to why they're on a dial. Enhancement usually strikes me as a "huh"?
While it won't matter to thems that don't care, for thems that do, it's something to ponder.

Ahhh! The old care or don't care conundrum.

It represents the character doing or saying something that helps the primary attacker do more damage. Sense it is a free action, it might help to think of it in RPG terms- you can usually talk as a free action, and get a sentence or so out in the six seconds per turn. Sometimes it is an action, most of the time it is instructional, some time it is a taunt that gets the target character to lower their guard.
Joker tells Hush "Shoot Gordon in the spine...just like I did to his daughter!"
Psylocke tells Gambit "There's a weak spot in Silver Samurai's armor at the knee."
The U-Men have detailed files on the mutants they are sent to harvest. Same with the Hive Troopers.
I could do this all day.

Maybe it has to do with all the side effects that occur after using the enhancement.
On to the actual topic. My best guess is that they are there to assist you when you need them. This seems to be a good example for generic figures with enhancement. As for Red Hood, I think it is used to show how the Red Hood was helpful to the good guys (If I remember the character correctly)
If this is true, I would like to nominate Robin or another sidekick to have enhancement. Or make it a variation on Blue Beetle's special power. It could happen.
