There are no Marvel releases this week. Disney canceled the whole line of Marvel Comics and fired the entire staff.
Even now, you can see Joephisto over at the DC offices, on his hands and knees begging Didio for a job.
Bendis is standing on the side of the Jersey turnpike holding up a sign that reads "Will Work For Image" (which has two meanings, I'm sure).
Only Jeph Loeb has a job. He's working on a project for DC entitled "Crisis OF 52 Earths" in which he'll do to the DCU what he's already done to the Ultimate Universe for Marvel.
TORCH #5 (OF 8) - And there will be Fire. Jim Hammond, Toro, and Johnny Storm. Look out Namor, the three Torches are together for the first time. Lots of fire. Arthur Brown does not appear.
CABLE #23 - Hope and Cable are on their way back to the present day, so this is Bishop's last chance to strike before his task becomes impossible.
DEADPOOL TEAM-UP #896 - Deadpool and U.S. Ace. Anyone remember him?
INDOMITABLE IRON MAN - Black & White Special - Iron Man short stories.
INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #23 - Tony Stark is incapacitated in Broxton Oklahoma, Siege headquarters, and the Ghost is closing in to seal the deal. Can Doctor Strange reach the source of the problem inside Stark's mind so that Iron Man will live again? Does anyone really care anymore?
NOVA #34 - Uh-oh. Final issue.
Realm Of Kings - SON OF HULK #1 (OF 4) - T Hiro-kala, son of the Hulk is set to become a worse threat than Vulcan. Captain Kirk does not appear.
SIEGE #2 (OF 4) - This is what its all come down to. Will Tony Stark rise in time? Will Steve Rogers rally any troops? Will the Dark Avengers hold it together in the face of the gods? Who will die and why did it have to happen that way? Why? Because Marvel needs cash. Money is important to them. So much so they will basically prostitute their characters to any old story if they think you will pay for the books.
SIEGE EMBEDDED #2 (OF 4) - Ben Urich has found Volstagg and wants to hear his side of the tragic events that kicked off Siege. Can Ben get Volstagg to the battleground and live to tell his tale? Will Volstagg realize he hasn't eaten in an hour, so chomp down some Ben Urich meat?
SPIDER-MAN NOIR - Eyes Without A Face #3 (OF 4) - Billy Idol does not appear.
Also: I believe this is Jason Aaron triple-shot week. He has issues of Ghost Rider: Heaven's on Fire, Wolverine: Weapon X, and Scalped all coming out on the same day.
...now, if we can just get Professor Pyg confirmed.
I wonder if the Nova book is going to change into something like Nova Corps?
There were some good Nova Corp recruits during War Of Kings that are interesting and NEW.
IMO-Marvel's strength is their cosmic stuff.
I can't imagine a great character like Nova and the AWESOME writing that has been in that series going away?
I wish they'd just already ditch the stupid Dark Reign/Osborn and "who is the Red Hulk??!" carp that we all know is not going to be official Marvel "cannon" and keep the great books like Nova around.
I did like the Offenders vs the Defenders though-but this has run it's course IMO.
