What happens when you throw three of the most hyped "bad guy" heroes together to be a very unorthodox team?
Well...if it was the 90s, you'd take Wolverine, The Punisher and the Dan Ketch version of Ghost Rider and not even the devil himself dares standing in their way!
Two times has Blackheart tried to do his evil things in Christ's Crown and two times have these vigilantes stopped him.
Here are two different versions of the trio. One for 200 pts and another for a 300 pts. battle.
The 200 points version resembles the team during the "Hearts of Darkness" incident.

Loner - 5 points - on Punisher
Monster Hunter - 3 points - on Ghost Rider
The team's members stayed the same when they clashed with Blackheart and the Corrupt in the sequel "The Dark Design". Since the characters were even more experienced at that point I chose the more expensive versions to end up in the 300 points range.
Chaingun: Once per turn when the Punisher succeeds at a ranged combat attack against an opposing target character, after the attack resolves he can immediately make ranged combat attacks against any other opposing characters adjacent to the target to which he can draw a clear line of fire. (Each attack is rolled and deals damage separately). If the result of a successful ranged combat attack roll made by the Punisher is doubles, the damage dealt is penetrating damage.

Now that's a team where lots of comic-fans will be able to say that three of their favorite characters are on the roster! Call your friends...tell them you want to play a comic accurate 300 pts battle and bring it on. These guys are bad to the bone and fun to play!
In 14 days I'll be back to give you even more ideas for comic accurate Marvel teams. But for now...let us know what you think!

Every so often, you need to go back to old, written-off figs and re-evaluate them.
In reading this article, I was caught offguard by how awesome that Punisher dial is for 50 points! I always loved the Vet nd LE, but I need to try that Rookie again!
It's always bothered me that the Daniel Ketch version has no PB or EW, and that the Blaze version has range with PB. Which is why I put the Ketch sculpt on my FF Vet. He is the cooler Ghost Rider anyway.

I don't remember this team up specifically but I think for at least a few issues of Ghost rider it was Ghost Rider, Wolvie and Gambit. That could be a fun team too.
Not sure which Ghost Rider it was though.
Why not the Dany LE for the second team?
I just cant stand activation clicks and the LE has the same number of useful clicks plus 1 extra click of 11 attack and his def goes up right after he loses invul.
Plus with the left over 5 points you can give one of them lucky break or alias or monster hunter
I don't want to play a game of chess where dumb luck or money decides whether or not I get to use a rook... Collectibility is a necessary evil of Heroclix, not a boon.

Of course I imagine the V is easier to get.
Even without the activation click the Vet has a longer dial. I used to prefer the LE over the Vet until the Phone Booth was made. Now it's really just a preference choice.

That's a pretty fun looking team. Whatcha got for Lobo? I just traded for one and don't know who he'd mix with...
CarlosMucha: that is like be running in a Olimpic race competition just one step to get the gold and then a Giant children place a mirror in your side and you discover what you are really a hamster over a whell and the gold is just a slice of chess. Avatar Summoning: Original GotG, Melter, Whiplash
Ketch doesn't have PB cause he didn't use hellfire as a weapon, I could see EW for the penance stare though. Oh and mod tip, repaint Blazing Skull's head, stick on UL GR's body, he looks like he jumped off a cover
Were getting singles of Misty & Colleen in the Deadpool Set!

I actually used the FF Rider's head on the Ketch body. But don't forget that his chain/stars could cut through armor or thick skin like the Hulk.

Ah, the 90's. Chock full of awesome, despite what teh Internets wants you to believe. All that's missing from this group is Venom, for a team of characters that were everywhere back then.
Definitely an interesting selection for this week's article. It'd certainly be a tough team to field no matter which versions you use. Sure, you have Punisher's range to maybe try and cover for Wolverine and Ghost Rider until they reach their opponents, but man even at 300 points you're in for an uphill battle.
I might go for the following:
U Wolverine (Sin) w/ Auto Regen
V Punisher (Ult) w/ Trick Shot
V Ghost Rider (Ult)
Puts you at 299. It's over the 10% rule, but this team might fare better in a non-competitive environment. You could maybe take out Auto Regen and throw in a Swingline so either Wolvie or GR can make it easier to their targets.
