His name was Demosthenes1. He only had 21 total posts before being banned after 2 days on HCRealms. But the thread that will forever define him went for 544 posts over almost 5 years, spawned at least 23 tribute/sequel/what the #### is this?/where can I find this? threads totaling over 1,250 posts themselves.

Yeah, it's Powerbomb!

As advertised, it was going to be the greatest set ever, taking figures from every previous set (and even the not-yet-released Critical Mass) and making them even better! Forget the common sense that would tell you "No way in #### are Marvel and DC gonna do a set of figures together!" You wanna know why? Because Demos' uncle worked at WizKids' headquarters. No, not the place where they make the figures! The place where the president and the vice-president work. Sure, Demos goes on to backpedal and say he doesn't know the name of the place his uncle works, maybe he just works with WizKids, but how can you argue with such enthusiasm?

And then after post 85... he's gone. Never to be seen again. Just like Romeo, banished (make sure you put the accent on the last syllable). But does the thread slow down? #### no! And look at some of the old-schoolers we got slinging the jokes in there:

And the real proof that Powerbomb is the king of HCRealms threads? Jason Mical (BroMags) later tried to get WizKids to name an actual HeroClix expansion 'Powerbomb!'. He failed, of course, but it was probably Tuttle's fault.

If they ever make a Powerbomb! set, they *need* to include Elektra. I love how she was really overdone in the first few sets, and everyone knew it.

OHMYGOD!!! THE NEWBIES HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY MISSED!!! These have made me laugh SOOO much! I almost want to go into them in detail and find MY old posts contained within...for old times sake.


It makes me want to go on a WILD HCRealms BENDER and start causing trouble until I got shut down...just to be able to be the attention ##### that I am and see a thread like this of myself (on my Wife's account, because I would be most definitely banned.)

The word "banished" only has two syllables. To get Romeo's line right you don't accent the last syllable, you add a new one. As is my understanding, anyway. I think Shakespeare is a bit "groovy" if you know what I mean, so maybe I'm way off base.

Funny at first, but it got old fast.

This has nothing to do with Powerbomb or anything like that, but so long as someone is looking back at HCRealms history, I figured I might as well ask this:

Quite some years ago, I'm not sure if it was before or right around the time character cards came out, but it was quite after 52 had run. And someone had posted a bunch of scenarios on the main page that were all related to storylines that ran through the series. One was about mad scientists, and another was about Rip Hunter and time travel, and there were a few others.

Anyone remember the specifics of them? I remember some aspects of the Rip Hunter one, like how your movement would double or be halved depending on if time was speeding up or slowing down (respectively), but I forget the rest. I'd love to see these scenarios again as I cannot seem to find them here.

Let me prescribe him some penicillin first, if he must.
