So whenever the HOT Venom came out I heard a alot of people commenting on how awesome the sculpt was, but something just didn't feel right to me. So I cobbled together a Juggernaut (FF) body, Manthing's hands, and sculpted the rest to make a Venom I felt could be a little more imposing. Feedback welcomed!

As much as I don't like the Mac Gargan Venom at all in comics, the one we got in HoT was pretty decent actually. It's just this one is THAT MUCH better.

Definitely more imposing and skillfully done, but I still prefer the nicely done, much more restrained version from HOT. Oh, almost anyone (including myself) would be delighted with a piece as nicely done as yours, but this is a case of personal taste/preference. Rep for the work and for showing it to us.

I wasn't a huge fan of McFarlane's original style in bringing us Venom, so I may very well be in the minority. I prefer the more restrained version for bringing a sense of menace without having to resort to more cartoonish extremes of distortion.

I liked the original, and thought it to be fine given Brock's character and physical disposition. It's the Gargan version I don't care for. But, you make valid points and as you suggested we are each entitled to our own views.

On the "who´s the better Venom" Discussion... well... it was Eddie back in the day when i first picked up comics... and for me... he´ll always be Venom. I loved the Lethal Protector Series back in the day and Gargan, well he often just seems like a roided up maniac version of venom.
