This game will be more complicated than what's described there, as nearly everyone has some sort of 'special thing' about them. Doesn't mean everyone has a night power, but you never know...

2) When you vote, please do so by saying Vote: [Player] in bold. If you wish to change your vote, please say Change Vote: [Player] instead. Voting for 'No Lynch' is a valid vote; if a majority votes for 'no lynch' then nobody will be lynched and we'll move on to the Night phase.

3) If your role says you -may- or -can- PM me a target, you don't have to do anything at night. Even so, it'll speed things along quite a bit if you'd still just send me a PM saying "Not using my [whatever] power tonight, thanks."

4) If your role says you -must- PM me a target, and you do not? I'll pick one randomly. Or, perhaps, not-so-randomly. Don't blame me if you target someone who kills you.

5) You may NOT send a PM to anyone about this game unless your role explicitly says you can. This is cheating.

6) Do NOT edit your posts in this thread. This is cheating.

7) Please do not copy-and-paste anything from any PM I send you to the thread. This is also cheating.

8) Please use discretion if you choose to post in the game after you have been killed. "Screw you whoever killed me" and the like is fine.

11) Day and Night Phases will last 24 hours or 48 hours during the weekend unless otherwise stated. The thread will be closed when it is night, and open when it is day.

12) I DO NOT randomize actions for those that may or can use their power, if you don't submit an action then you do not take one that night. Those that must take an action and don't submit it will be randomized... don't blame me if that randomization hurts you.

The song that goes "nothing from nothing, leaves nothing" has always irritated me. Not because it is not a good tune, it is because it is full of ####..

The recent wave of financial scandals has been seen as poof that “only nothing can come from nothing”, as the Greek philosopher Parmenides argued around 2,500 years ago and finger-wagging moralists have been telling us all ever since. Slackers everywhere should therefore take heart from the mounting evidence that Parmenides could not have been more wrong. It is now becoming clear that everything can, and probably did, come from nothing.

As countless generations of schoolchildren are taught to parrot in class, the law of conservation of energy states that it cannot be created or destroyed, but merely transformed from one form to another. In 1927, Dr Werner Heisenberg showed that the truth is rather more interesting in a paper that addressed a philosophical question: how do we know what reality is like? The answer seems obvious: by making observations. But Dr Heisenberg pointed out that the newly emerging quantum theory implied that the very act of observation affects whatever is being observed. That, in turn, means it is impossible to know with total precision what reality is actually like. The very space around us is seething with subatomic particles, popping in and out of empty space. During their fleeting existence, these vacuum particles interact with each other, and turn the supposedly dull vacuum of space into the quantum vacuum, which astronomers now know is anything but dull. Observations suggest the expansion of the entire cosmos is being propelled by quantum vacuum energy. The Physics of something for nothing can explain the origin of literally everything. The Big Bang, from which the entire universe emerged was the result of convulsions in the quantum vacuum which took place around 14 billion years ago.

All atoms are made up of electrons plus a far more massive central nucleus, made up of clusters of particles called quarks. It seems obvious that the mass of the nucleus must be the sum total of the masses of its quarks, but that reckons without the effect of the quantum vacuum. It turns out that the quarks account for only a tiny fraction of the total mass of a nucleus. By far the bulk comes from the gluons that binds its quarks together, which takes the form of vacuum particles flitting in and out of existence.......

One night someone was experimenting with the fabric of space time. As this person worked, the quantum vacuum in the vicinity was disturbed. A "small bang" occurred and this person was sucked into a new existence. The place was strange, completely random. Something else very strange also happened, it seemed that random characters across many genres, and in fact from across time, had been brought into this new reality. The person came across a scantily clad man laying on the ground, and gasping for breath. "My chest is in such pain, and it feels like something is moving with in it" the man screamed and then moved no more. The person inspected the man, it seemed he had been pulled into this existence, but his heart was not. Where his heart should have been, there was a penguin eating lunch.
