The solitaire board game "death will come to you all" tournament.
I'm thinking of doing this.
Having twelve of you sign up to represent the 12 Space Marines in Last Frontier: The Vesuvius Incident. Then I'd play through the game and see who survives the alien infestation.
Then I take 10 of the survivors (plus some people who signed up for the reserves if there were less than 10 survivors) and play through the most dangerous mission in the B-17 game. This would be bombing the U-boat pens at La Rochelle.
Then I'll take 8 of those survivors (plus reserves to fill the number out to 8) and play through a mission in Ambush. I think I'll do the mission where the squad must sneak behind enemy lines and blow up some V-2 rockets.
Then I'll take 5 of those survivors (plus reserves if needed) and put them aboard a Sherman tank, playing through a scenario in Patton's Best.
Then I'll take a single survivor from that game and toss him into the world of Barbarian Prince--seeing if he can win back his father's throne from usurpers.
The idea would be to see if at one person can make it from the far future to the distance past through five highly dangerous missions.
Don't know if I'll do this yet--it would be pretty time consuming. But I enjoy all five of those games and would have fun doing it. if I do run this, who would be interested?
SPACE MARINE SLOTS:
The designation "tough" means that character is less likely to panic when he sees an alien kill someone.
The space marines are searching a derelict ship in a decaying orbit for survivors. The ship has been infested with hideous killer aliens that bleed acid. Can the marines find what few survivors there are and get out before the ship burns up in the atmosphere?
The Marines are armed with auto-rifle/grenade launcher combos. Two of the marines have heavy-duty Plasma Flame guns.
The mechanics can repair broken weapons and robots. The hacker can get into the ship's computer for value information. The medic can heal wounded and the pilots would be needed anyone escapes via the ship's shuttle or escape pod.
Instead of ending with Barbarian Prince, I could make the final survivor captain of a pirate ship in the solitaire version of Blackbeard. Maybe I'll give the final survivor a choice.
I'll edit the first post to include a sign-up sheet for the squad of Space Marines. If we get enough volunteers, I'll run through that game. Because a few of these games are a tad on the time consuming side, it may sometimes be a week or two between each one. If no one objects to that, we can give the campaign a try.
