What was the one trade offer you received that you turned down and looking back you wish you had taken?

I received an offer years ago from a person who had a masterpiece Batman. He wanted a bunch of figures in return and the only one I remember was Ultimate Thor, but there were more. I remember that Thor and the others were going for a good amount of money and I turned the guy down. I kick myself all the time for that one.

What was the one trade you had made in the past and wish you didn't aside from the ones where you may have been ripped off?

Personally, I can't think of a good one off the top of my head, but I'm sure there are a few.

well, I am not proud of the fact that I traded my Warbound and Shockwave for SR Mastermind...

I regret trading my Dark Phoenix and Ultimate Thor for Zombie Hulk - primarily because I never received the Zombie Hulk. Thanks serioussam! Here's hoping that awful things happen to your private bits, you thieving scumbag.

Lol! Sorry to hear you got ripped off. It has happened to me as well. I guess I should have been more specific and asked what trade where you got your figures do you wish you hadn't made. I'm sure everyone who has been ripped off wishes they had not sent their stuff.

-I traded a Mephisto for six moloids. Later I regretted it, but at the time all I wanted to do was shut the guy up. I kept saying no, and he kept begging. For my sanity's sake and his face's sake, I did the trade. I did get some satisfaction the next week when the guy played Mephi and I slaughtered him.

-I also traded a V AW Iron Man for a V FF Dr. Strange. I love the Doc, but looking back it was a big ripoff. At least neither of us know at the time that Iron Man was the equivalent of a SR/Chase.

-I was offered a Sinestro for Silver Savage back before Sinestro was $40. Now I wish I'd made that trade.

Trade I wish I hadn't made:

Several years ago. My first trade ever on the WizKids site.

My KC Green Lantern, KC Hawkman, KC Batman, KC Bat Sentry, KC Shazam!, KC Red Robin, KC Wonder Woman, and KC Magog for kkam30's zombie Wolverine.

I sent first, like a dummy, and got ripped. Served me right for not knowing what the heck I was doing... but if I ever find the guy, I will inflict some serious physical damage.

Thankfully, I'm a lot more careful with the folks I choose to trade with.

A while back I believe I gave my only Sinestro SR and my only Kyle Rayner LE to phantalien for a Doomsday SR. It wasn't a bad deal at the time by any means, but now...oy!

I guess can't think of any trade that I wish I would have taken. Over the years, the people of this site (including some who've posted already) have been really kind to me. I love trading with you guys!

Man, Spike, I'm really sorry to hear about that. That's a pretty major swindle. I've been ripped off four times over the course of my trading career here. After a while, I suppose one is bound to get ripped off eventually. I try to look at it as a balancing act for all the good deals I've gotten (it helps me sleep at night).

i once traded the entire green lantern corps collectors sets for an avengers hulk. at the time it was even...but now...ARRRGGGGHHHH!!!!

I really can't think of any off the top of my head. The only figure that I've ever wanted so badly that I'd make a crazy offer for it, was the E-2 Superman. That was the most I've ever *paid* for a figure ($110.00 cash plus a few SR and some feat cards. At the time he was selling for $150.00-$200.00).

I've had some crazy offers (8-9 SR including the SR Sinestro for my Chase Susan Richards), but most times I've taken them, so I don't recall a trade I've ever turned down that I *wish* I'd taken.

There have been a few I've regretted making, some include trading my Hal Jordan & Betsy Braddock off when I was fairly new to trading.

But one recently I turned down was five Supes Robots for My KCGL, KC Flash, KC Hawkman, Red Robin & Leg Ares. It was shortly after my collection was stolen from my house and I didn't want to part with them. Needless to say less than two weeks later I was offered a trade for all the Leg uniques. I took it and tried to contact back for the Supes Robot trade but the offer was taken off the table.

Worst trade I ever made was trading a CT Nightcrawler U and CT Spiral U for a HT Arthur Curry LE. I was such a noob then.

I think the worse trade I made was a Colonel America for a bunch of figures that I did not have since I started out at the time. One of those figures was Ted Sallis just to show you guys how much of a noob I was.

One I wished I had made Ultimate Thor straight up for Masterpiece Loki. Hymed and hawed and a day later gone!! Arghh

back when supernova first came out. the mighty thor was $45. i have a bud who had been looking for a jane foster sinve xplosion. so being the nice guy i am... i basically forced him to trade the thor (that i had multiples of), for the jane foster he needed. i don't really regret it (a friend got something he needed), it just wasn't a very even trade.
