Having recently read that 4 issue miniseries, I'm going to have to disagree with the others.
I advise you to skip anything involving Deadpool in the early 90's. Seriously... unless you really like faux curse words (Frakkin' slaggers!) and nonsensical weapon X characters with Cable-style designs... He isn't even funny in those issues.
Don't want to start now with the Deadpool Corps starting so he can save the universe?
Or even just start a few issues back where he pops into New York and runs into Spider-man and asks him how the whole Mephisto thing is working out for him.
You recommend I just start now, booley? If you don't think there's any major back-story I'm going to miss, I'm not against that. The problem with getting into comics now (I've only been "collecting" for about a year and a half) is that all of the ones that have been around "forever" have so many back-stories that I don't get a lot of the inside jokes and references in the new issues. What do you think?
