Regen is still hurting, should have also been minimum one. Or it should have grabbed Namora's special power and applied it as a power action, water terrain not required. Kind of bummed.
Telekinesis is still being written by someone who thinks that All Quiet on the Western Front is a good sized book. I'm glad that HSS was able to get all of its info down in a few sentences, but TK remains that gold standard for overly verbose. Is it required? Probably. Does it kind of fly in the face of the goal of simplifying? Yes. Hopefully next time.
Plasticity. I was really hoping to see a change to this so it would require HSS/LC characters to break away normally. Why? Well, eventually we are going to get a Tarpit figure. And he's going to have a special power that basically says "HSS figures must break away as if they didn't have HSS." It is another example of not making the game simpler. I know that in this example I'm borrowing trouble from a theoretical character in a theoretical set, but still. How many times have we seen Plastic Man give Flash fits while they were training? Or Batman have trouble getting away from Plasmus because they guy is just oozing everywhere? Maybe it's just me, but I don't think requiring a breakaway roll from Plasticity characters nerfs HSS/LC or buffs Plasticity that much.
What about the rest of you? I know people still don't think IL is that much better, but at least it is viable now.

I hope that the rewording of Smoke Cloud and Barrier survives contact with the RA. The new PAC clearly removes the "lasts... until countered or lost" restriction" , which means that you can push yourself off of Barrier/Smoke Cloud and keep them standing.
The cynic in me thinks that the rules team is immediately going to rule that the restriction is still there.

Don't count on it - the RA and the Deputies were given the opportunity to review the new wordings before the starter went to print.
Changing plasticity to make Hypersonic and Leap climb require a break away roll is not a bad idea, but it would be a huge deal. I love to play lock down squads (where you use smaller figures to tie up major figures) and if those squads worked against Hypersonic it would be huge.
Iron River Read my wife's comic or I will say mean things about your dog.

What, so you don't want it to work with Running Shot? ...just so you could use it in adjacency? I rather like that even the almighty PW power has one weakness (not named Outwit).

! We can haz Willpower-y Barrier?!?
Changes I hoped for:
Optional Steal Energy.
Barrier can be placed on hindering terrain.
Using Regeneration never causes pushing damage.
Battle Fury also duplicated the MoE TA (this would be better as a feat, though)
Leadership usable anytime during your turn.
Outsiders can use their TA anytime during your turn.
Outsiders can affect all modifiers.
Injustice League TA becomes Masters of Evil TA or The Society ATA or, at the very least, doesn't require any sort of adjacency anymore.
Giants can use Quake and Flurry two squares out again.
Leap/Climbers can use Quake and Flurry on different elevations again.
Giants can Carry regardless of their tokens.
Got a few of them, too.
Changes I really hoped wouldn't happen:
Pulse Wave allowed to work in adjacency. HoT Ultron singlehandedly reversed my old position on this.
Super Strength only needed for lifting heavy objects, as recently rumored.
Perplex reverted to ending with your turn (at least without a corresponding boost to, say, Leadership)
Outwit/Perplex/PC's range lowered from 10.
Carry ability's -2 penalty removed.
Duo Attack turned to Multiattack.
Wildcards allowed to copy ATAs and loan combat values like before.
That last one happened anyway. Welcome back Taskmaster and Iron @#^@#% Fist. You weren't missed.
God is smarter than we are....

Agreed, should be min 1.

Taken as a whole, TK is wordy. BUt it's broken down into options so it doesn't bother me much.

I think that only HSS and Phasing figs should be able to break away from Plasticity without interacting with it. Everyone else should have to roll.

IL still blows major chunks. It's marginally better at best. They really should have just made it the same as MoE... but WK doesn't seem really in tune to what we've been asking for.

There are 542,000 children in foster care. Talk to your local foster and adoptive agency. You could change a life.
I think Its pretty obvious what I'm going to say, so I hope there's no pile-on.
With the very good idea of consolidating and simplifying the move & attack and occupancy rule; I would have really hoped we would have gotten a simple and comprehensive adjacency rule that irons out all the complications with drawing line of fire to adjacent figures whether they be in stealth or behind an intersection barred by two "hand holders", Characters in stealth being unable to draw line of fire to themselves etc...
I already knew from Norm's exasperated stance on this suggestion that we wouldn't see it, but I remain disappointed regardless. With all the other tweaks and changes of the same type and complexity, I see no reason this could not have been done. This would have been the perfect chance to make this change.
I haven't seen it answered yet (and honestly haven't looked that hard) but does this change mean that Outsiders can now negate the -2 when carrying a fig? The -2 to attack with a transporter? The -1 to damage on the second duo attack?

Yippie! Giants got screwed over in the last rulebook. They gained a bit but lost more IMO.

I'm fine with this. WC ended up "to nerfed" last time.

Yup. No more keeping track of the source. No modifying, period.
It makes transporters+Outsiders really good, but I don't see it making the competitive scene, and I certainly don't see it busting the competitive scene. I don't see it having much of any effect on duos as perplex is still significantly better.

Because those modifiers were obviously put in place as a balance issue.
So we should eliminate Perplex, because it can diminish those negatives? Don't be ridiculous. How often does Outsiders see a whole heck of a lot of use? People are putting points into the team ability. Getting a little more oomph out of Outsiders isn't a bad thing.
