So I've always been planning on making some Black Lanterns, they just always seemed to be pushed back for some reason. Then I pulled Kal-L.......and now he needs some friends to join him.

I used comic pics, Goldeeh's awesome stuff (knowing full well how inferior my stuff would be! ) and the DC direct figs when possible for references.

So this is the first wave, all re-paints this time around.

The Hawks



Hawkgirl, Hawkgirl's head

I still haven't decided if I'm going to keep the normal wings or make the skeletal-type wings. And after seeing Goldeeh's BL:Hawkman I liked the dark headgear with the red eyes more than the brown headgear. Other than that I liked the way Hawkgirl turned out but not so much with Hawkman. I don't think I had a clear idea of what I was going to do with him and I think that led to me changing my mind on him a few times. My next try at him should be much better. The BL symbol on Hawkgirls head turned out all right.

Firestorm



This was the first one I had planned on making. He turned out quite well IMHO. The lighthing from his chest were generously donated from Havok(MM). I like him quite a bit. He'll probably be the first one I reatch for to help round out my BL teams.

I couldn't decide which sculpt to try so I did both and I like how they both turned out. The HT version had more room for the BL chest symbol but the CR version is less 'just standing around'.

So next up I already have an Elongated Man and a Hawk(who is a pain and a half right now!) started and since I picked up the Directors Cut of Blackest Night with all of the concept art for the BLs (includeing unused ones....hello Metemorpho!) I have bunches to choose from.

And if you are feeling extra helpful you could pop over to this thread and give advice for choosing dials for these guys.

I picked up the Blackest Night Director's Cut last week. It has a large section in the back listing names and sketches of many of the Black Lanterns, so I will be following in your footsteps...

Thanks guys! I like the way most of them turned out as well (well not Hawkman so much.....) even though the 2 Hawks are still a work in process(touching ups and such as well as possible wing switching).

Yeah that comic had lots of good stuff in there for making BLs as I didn't follow all of the BN stories. After looking in there I added Metemprpho, Atom(Adam Cray), Crimson Fox, Azrael, and Animal Man to my 'make them BLs' list.

Fortunatly/Unfortunatly you missed their first showing already. And they KOed everything........I only lost characters in the second of 3 games because the player desided that his Parademons and Darkseid just were not going to take out Kal-L so he targeted the rest of the team. With the Black Lantern I was able to heal my team fairly regularly.
