Hmmm, Batman West. A young Hollywood star loses the love of his life to a corrupt studio that seduced her with drugs and false promises. He vows to get revenge by donning the cape and cowl... Hollywood style!
Eh TWO Batmen...this is bad. I mean I could see them trying to do what they did with Cap and Bucky where one's "Cap" and one's still unofficially cap just without the mask....
Hmmm I wonder how this will play out in comics "IT's LIKE HE's IN TWO PLACES AT ONCE"
Even better a Criminal Getting let off easy by Dick and then Encountering Bruce.
If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe.-Carl Sagan
Dude, Morrison does tell pretty creative Batman stories... how about we reserve judgement until we get the final product.
They say the best weapon is one you never have to fire. I respectfully disagree. I prefer the weapon you only have to fire once. That's how Dad did it, that's how America does it, and it's worked out pretty well so far." Robert Downey/Tony Stark
I called this awhile back. I figures it would be two teams of Batman, Robin and Batgirl with Dick, Damian and Stephanie on one and Bruce, Tim and Cassandra on the other.
I personally think that Morrison totally F'ed up the Batman universe and I was happy to hear that he was leaving. Now I'm disappointed that he is staying.
Check out Gotham City Sirens #2. Selina was trained to resist psychic coercion by Talia, and offers an explanation that Batman is in fact a full team of trained men devoted to keeping the legend alive.
Morrison says he was always working up to this, so maybe this was a seed planted early on?
Batman having a son sounded terrible,....until I read it.
Bruce Wayne "dying" and being replaced sounded terrrible,....until I read it.
Damian taking over the role of Robin sounded terrible,...until I read it.
Grant Morrison has made Batman a must-read over the last four years. I will certainly give anything he writes the benefit of the doubt and try it out, no matter how goofy or terrible it may sound. He knows how to sell the craziest ideas.
...now, if we can just get Professor Pyg confirmed.
