Quick question: If I mastermind damage to someone with Super Senses, can that figure roll to avoid damage? Or does the damage go past SS? I figure since MM damage doesn't go through Toughness or Invul. it wouldn't go past SS, but I'm not sure.
Impervious would not trigger at all and all the damage would be applied to him. Although the damage is transferred, the target status still remains on the original target.
are you certain about this? I'm only asking because Mastermind specifically states "Any damage-reducing powers possessed by the character receiving the damage reduces this damage per the standard rules. " And Impervious is without a doubt a damage-reducing power.
Impervious is a damage-reducing power but the circumstances that trigger a defense power must be meant. Toughness & Invulnerability only need to be subject to power effects or attacks to trigger their defense. Impervious needs to be specifically targetted in order for it to be triggered.
Unfortunately, Mastermind damage is effect damage and not considered attack damage - so Impervious doesn't get activated.
"Sometimes it's a good day to die, and sometimes it's a good day to have breakfast.."
No, the triggers aren't the same. Super Senses only requires the figure be hit by an attack, whereas Impervious requires that the figure be the target of an attack. Energy Explosion splash damage, for instance, will entirely bypass Impervious but will still be subject to the dodge roll for Super Senses.
For the most part, Super Senses can be used if there was a comparison against the figure's defense.
And no, a figure holding an object may not be carried.
