Hope this is the right place for the discussion. I know I've seen a few people mention plans to field the team once WoS came out and finished off most of the members. Anyway, I myself have been looking forward to fielding the Dark Avengers ever since WoS made it clear that most of the team would be completed with the set. With the hopeful future additions of Dark Ms. Marvel (Moonstone) and Sinister Spider-Man (Venom) the team is pretty much complete. Maybe we'll get a Victoria Hand at some point.

Plus you can always do what I am planning to do and swap the HoT Moonstone figure with a repainted SI Ms. Marvel. And use the Venom from HoT as well. However hopefully one of the LE's from this set is a Sinister Spider-Man version of Venom.

But I was adding up the points, and good lord it's going to be an expensive team to field. Especially not knowing how much the rumored Dark Avengers LE version of Daken as Dark Wolverine will be. Even using the stand-ins at the moment it's going to be over 1,000 points to field the entire team. Still can't wait to do it though. Anyone else looking forward to it? Just figured we could have a fun little discussion about the team.

Really, Noh-Varr didn't spend much time with the team. You could drop him, add a few feats and be right around 1000 points, even.

True. But I really wanna field the original team from Dark Avengers.

It's all Ares fault. He's the one who adds a crapload of points.

Thats a lot of points, for some bad characters. =) I could beat them with the Masters of Evil. =)

The spider-man LE is Venom as spider-man. Someone even posted when he saw the LE's, the name was Venom.

I can't wait to field the team as well.

Did he happen to post the cost or anything? I can't recall.

And the search program is honestly a pain in the butt. :D

Noh we never really on the team. He just joined them for like an afternoon. Sentry never really fought along side them, he just cleaned up. And Osborn generally joined the team later in the mission or not at all, so it would actually make sense to us the AE with this one.

I can't agree with that. The only one you really could have a case for is Noh-Varr.

And Ares was pretty accurately costed for what he was capable of doing.

Ares worth almost 100 points more than the guy who ripped him in half? Not accurate.

Not really. Ares simply fumbled his rolls and Sentry rolled a Critical.

Not to mention, Sentry was in full on Void mode at that point.

I saw one very clever person (who I repped at the time, but I have since forgotten their username - sorry ) substitute Balder in for Ares on a Dark Avengers team... I thought that was great! It brought the point total down, and the piece still kicks butt.
And I agree with you; taking Ares or Sentry - or even Noh-Varr - out would just not be as much fun as using them however 'bad' they might be (Ares or Sentry, that is - not the one man Kree wrecking ball) in the min/max version of the Clix universe (a place where I - thankfully - never seem to find the time to visit). For points, I'd probably take Sentry out before the others (if I HAD to), but I'm sure you'll always find a chance to play them AS YOU WANT... that's what is so beautiful about this game!
