I've got a 500pts tournament coming up and was thinking of getting him i just wanted some advice and opinions on the figure on how to use him properly and if he is worth it or not if anyone could kindly help a noob please.
Your best bet is probably to back him up with a classic pit crew-style team. He's a bit too expensive to go theme.
Is the tournament Golden Age or Modern Age by the way?
iv fought against him, never with him, plenty of times in very large point values and in my opinion hes just not worth it. If you really want to win dont play him, but if u want to have fun and try out your new fig then go for it.
Not too much advice on how to play him, since I never have. Id say the tombstone special object is a must because of his lack luster defense. is it modern or golden age? cus if golden, fortitude is probably a good idea because his special defense power just begs to be outwitted.
If u slap repulsor shield and fortitude on him then theres no way around his special defense power, but thats all your feat points and itl jack Supes Prime up to 368pts. like I said I honestly would never play him if I desperately wanted to win, hes just not worth his points to me. but if its just for fun, go for it.
If I'm thinking Modern age is no feats, you're going to have a hard time. I suggest using Rip Hunter as a timeline punching accomplice.

If it's 'Modern Age' fill in with POGs. 'Golden Age' then Fortitude on Prime.
It's not a great team, but it gives you TK and 2x Perplex. Scarecrow is a very capable secondary attacker.
Technically, it won't earn a keyword bonus in 500 points, but it's a great start. It's too bad Arkillo is 126 or that would be a beautiful build for 600 point games.

Yeah, I know that's why I didn't say theme team. Prime is hard to use in less than 600 points. The last time I played him, 700 points, I played this:
Prime 318
Scarecrow 85 (403)
Lyssa Drak 72 (475)
Amon Sur 70 (545)
Yellow Lantern 65 (610)
Manhunter 64 (674)
A few feats -----> Nanobots on Drak 10 (684), Alias x2 6 (690) and one other feat that I can't seem to remember off the top of my head?
The Graveyard map was picked, and I cleaned house (it was a friendly home game, not a tournament). My opponent played a JLA team (non-keyword) with Crisis Hal, BN Starter Wonder Woman, Origin Atom, JL Flash and a couple of other figures on which I am drawing a complete blank.
TBH, it's the first time I've won with the Sinestro Corps in 4 tries. Because of their (relatively) high average point cost, they get out actioned easily.
Trade to Canada. We're friendly, and we love Beavers..........
All good advice, just remember that his highest defense is a 17. so TK is a must. u cant leave him out cus your right hes just a huge target. 318 points is super appealing to a competent player
I never thought about the Sinestro Corps! The appeal of making a big points Sinestro Corps team to play at home with just for fun has made him more appealing to get now.

You're welcome
I've got a huge Sin Corp army, and even though they tend to lose, they are fun to play. I've played them in 2,000 point games. The main problem? I've got too many figures so I couldn't decide whom to play (Prime, Batman, Grodd, 13 Manhunters :speechles etc etc)
But yeah, have fun

Yah My friend has a huge sin core army as well, thats about the only time he plays prime. he really needs a grodd and batman, I think me and our other players are gonna all split a sinestro batman for his birthday.
Hey guys i know it's not a stragety question but i was just wondering how likely is it to get SBP in an AA booster? Cause i am contemplating just buying bricks of AA's to boost my collection anyway.
If it's not very likely could you tell me the fairest price i should be paying for the clix?
If you buy a brick, you get 10 boosters with maybe 3 SRs if all things are well.
12 SRs are in a set.
Therefore, you're looking at buying about 40 boosters worth to guarantee to get him. Of course, collation isn't guaranteed, so maybe 1/50 boosters has a prime? I opened about 2 1/2 cases, and got only 1.
Now, of course, you could always go to the store buy one booster, open it, buy the next, open it... and tell us how long it takes.
Personally, I wouldn't spend more than $25 on him, shipping included.
