I really hope this doesn't mean the end of Franken-Castle, it's the first time the Punisher has actually been worth reading (when not written by Ennis)

I have not picked up a single issue of Punisher since Ennis left and this Frakencastle stuff scares me. Its almost as odd as when he hunted demons and such a few years back.

Did ennis come in and "poof" it away like the angel bit...

Talk about a no story. "I didn't like that way, so I'm doing it this way".

And people say he's a good writer...

I do believe Punisher's time as Franken Castle ends in the series next issue of punisher, I for one will be glad to have it be over , I enjoyed theese issues , but i want the punisher that tried to take out norman and kept the sentry at bay for a while. I really have been enjoying Punisher kills the marvel universe stuff alot too .. I like the brooding , war journal writing @ss kicking punisher.

I was very skeptical about the new direction, but it grew on me pretty quickly. Fairly certain Franken-Castle is solicited through #22....so who wants to win the No Prize and explain how he's so un-frankensteiny in Shadowland?

Do yourself a favor and pick up Jason Aaron's run. GREAT stuff. Ranks right up there with Ennis.

He didn't "poof" it away at all. He had Punisher say something along the lines of "Tried going angelic. Didn't fit, so they sent me back here."

And, reading what I did of the Angel Punisher thing, that was fine by me.

Also, he IS a good writer, IMO.

We all have our opinions. I prefer Frank as Frank Castle.

As for why he's shown in "Shadowlands" as being back to normal while he's still Franken-Castle in his own book, I'd say blame the EIC for not catching that one.

I'm sure the EIC is aware and doesn't care.

I don't really see why the readers would care either. We all knew Frank was going to be back to normal.

If I were Diggle, I'd handle it thusly:

SPIDER-MAN: Dude, I thought you were all like...Frankensteiny and whatnot?

PUNISHER: Monstery.

SPIDER-MAN: Huh?

PUNISHER: You mean monstery. Frankenstein was a German guy.

SPIDER-MAN: Well whatever...so what happened?

PUNISHER: I got better.

SPIDER-MAN: How?

PUNISHER: ::shrugs::

Only change I would make. Granted, I don't see how it's relevant to Shadowland.

Umm... make it out that the Hand were behind his resurrection?

Or that the thread used to stitch him together was woven by the late, great Kagenobu Yoshioka!
