My wife and I opened our wonderful cases yesterday. Much to our shock, even after 4 cases, I was missing 2 SR's. Cosmic Spidey and Green Goblin. Yeah I know you would think after opening 4 cases you SHOULD get one of each and every SR, OH BUT WAIT there's more, 4 cases = 8 bricks = 80 boosters = 74 rares?!?!?!?!?!??!?! Oh that's right I got the shaft on 6 of my rares as well. My wife asked me to look at a booster or two after she opened cause it was hard to tell if it was silver or white, I had to do a double-take when NO RARE, instead there was a common in the rare slot.

Crap happens I get it, but then we opened up another one like that, and then we'd get some SR, but no Rare.

Now you ask, but Ken, what SR's and Rares did you actually get??

Now as we all look over these wonderful numbers let's see something that sticks out. 8 count it 8 Menance compared to 2 Scarlet Spider and 2 Noh Varr. Then let us look at the SR's and see, well holy crap 3 Doppelganger!!!!! wait wait, 3, Morlun?!?!? Wait a sec, 3 Red-Hulk... yeah you get the message.

I know that this was just like a crap shoot going into the cases, I had hoped that I'd get lucky enough and pull enough product to re-coop some of the cost of my cases(Which BTW I bought from a Brick and Mortar store), but sadly I have only enough of the Rares to get an extra CUR set.

Now when I picked this up from the Store, it was given to me in a nice huge box that had all four cases in it. So you tell me Wizkids, you tell me how in the heck is this called "better?" I mean you tell me honestly and I'll listen, but 6 missing rares out of 80 boosters, I say nay nay to that.

Having 8 of one rare yet 2 of another, I swear my wife and I got loopy after we saw the 5th Menance, and we came close to throwing up on the 6th, 7th and 8th's one we pulled.



I've tried to be nice about supporting this game after coming back, but honestly, I feel that Wizkids just wants me to keep buying booster after booster or is forcing me to go to the secondary market.

You tell me, I spent over 700 dollars on these 4 cases, how easily would it have been to just spend 60 bucks to get a CUR set, and then buy each SR and I bet you I would have saved. This has really put me off Wizkids. I hope you listen to this.

Well anytime they try and do something with the rarity scheme things go amiss. Coallation is a hurdle that needs jumping for them. That said I don't think it was on purpose. Nit right now. Although I'm probably one Hair10 thread away from thinking they did do it on purpose. For now I give them the benefit of the doubt that it's just growing pains. Hopefully.

It looks like collation is a bit off, but that probably means that there is someone out there with spare Scarlet Spiders looking for a Menace etc. First, try to trade for a few of your lacking figures and then you will have plenty CUR sets to sell. Also, I am sure that you can unload 2 of your Doppelgangers for a Cosmic Spidey and Gobbie. Yes, you should have gotten a full set, but 2 off is not that bad. Also, I imaging that adding 4 SR's is the sole reason that you were short on the rares. They had to cut something to add those figures, and from the looks of it, you got 5 of the 61-64 figures and were short 6 rares. From your story, it appears that 1 of your boosters had 4 commons in it, and that was most likely a mistake, but 1 mistake out of 4 cases is not a bad thing at all =]

You dropped 1.5 Rares per case that's in line with what we're hearing....most of the time it's an SR doing the dropping......the common is different.

And you could have bought 50 cases and still never pulled a specific SR. But as long as you get the # of them you should be getting you can at least trade for them. (3 Dopples are kinda awesome though)

And if you are spening $700 on 4 cases you had better at least enjoy the opening of the boosters.

But I gotta ask..............4 cases, why so much? Do you sell to the secondary market?

Cosmic Spidey will be traded/sold when/if I pull him. I'm picking up a brick today from the LGS, and have ordered a case from Troll & Toad. Hopefully the different locations will shake out into a decent variety.

This here, scared me onto the secondary market. I was witness to this, it is sad. If I would have bought that much product, I would have expected at least 1 full set, but not to miss 2 figs.

I hit the secondary market after Reklawyad told me this at my local venue (and through Reklawyad) and am rather satisfied what I got with my brick money. I am gonna hit the secondary market and according to what I am hearing about super weird collation (my local venue opened 5 cases and didn't get 3 figs), it will be cheaper.

True, he can trade for what he wants, but at 4 cases, you shouldn't have to.

Also, no Goblin hurts the team. ANY team.

Rulk isn't plentiful! Neither is Doppleganger.

I bought 3.5 cases and missed out on Rulk, Doppleganger, and Groot.

SRs I pulled:
2 Cosmic Spideys,
2 Goblins,
2 Mysterios,
4 Doc Ocks,
2 Sandman,
3 Bagman and one each of the others that I did pull.

What stunned me was that, in all of that, I only pulled 2 Iron Patriots!

The problem was that they shafted us on the SRs. The 3 cases I opened all had 6 SR each; exactly 3 per brick!

That ain't right.

=[ well maybe we can still have that Chick-fil-A/Simbiote Death Match to make up for it...

How are you getting shafted on SRs? I've only ever pulled 6 SRs (or less) in a case.

Honestly my wife didn't want me to keep buying boosters left and right this time, just get the whole set up front and be done with it

Oh we did enjoy the opening of the boosters, sadly we actually had 2 boosters that had no rares just commons and uncommons

To recoup some of the cost I'm going to have to go to the secondary Market this time I'm afraid. It sucks cause trust me I don't like to I'd rather just trade it for other things I need.

With the addition of 4 SR's in the set, we were supposed to be getting 4 SR's in a brick, or at least 7 SR's in a case.

Buying that many cases was probably not the best way to acquire your full set. There's always diminishing returns after a certain point.

I believe that each SR is produced in eqivalent quantities, but that there are regional clusters - one area will be awash in Doppelgangers, others will have hardly any. Whils Ultimate Hulk (Avengers) was common in some areas, our area had almost none.
