MAJOR EARTHQUAKE: Give Red Hulk a power action and make a close combat attack targeting each character within 3 squares. Each character hit is dealt damage equal to 4 minus the number of squares it is from red hulk. Characters who can use flight ability automatically evade this attack.
does this mean he deal 4 damage to adjacent then 3dmg to a character 1 square away then 2 dmg to 2 squares away or does he deal 3,2,1 dmg.
the reason i ask is becuase an adjacent character is 1 square away but if you had 1 range that would be the same square, but quake normally does 2dmg so i am thinking that he does 4 to start and ends with 2.
hopefully i explained that correctly
"Screws fall out all the time, the world is an imperfect place."
It's 3, 2, 1.
The only way for him to deal 4 damage with this power is if an opposing figure occupied the same square as he does, and that's not possible.

really? thats lame cause normal quake does 2 dmg i wouldnt think his major earthquake would go below that. but whatever. plus if a figure is adjacent they arent one square away so i dont see how it would count it that way. but u r probably right.

Normal Quake deals 2 damage to up to 8 adjacent figures.
Major Earthquake deals 3 damage to up to 8 adjacent characters, 2 damage to up to 16 characters two squares away, and 1 damage to up to 24 character 3 squares away.
So at best, a single based figure using regular quake could deal 16 damage without rolling a critical hit. Red Hulk could deal 80 damage...
If you add in crit hits, the standard Quaker can deal 24 damage, Red Hulk does 128.
I fail to see how that is lame.

Yes they are. Think about it this way: You have a 0 range figure on the ground next to elevated terrain. An opposing figure sits atop that elevated terrain, and you want to make a ranged attack against it. Can you do it?
Not without Perplexing your range to 1... Because the opposing figure is 1 square away.
As I said before, the only way to be 0 squares away from Red Hulk is to be in his actual square.
The power only specifies "3 squares away" with no mention of terrain. Does that mean if Rulk is on grounded terrain within 3 squares of characters on elevated terrain, Major Earthquake would still affect those characters? Also, it should go through walls, correct?

I BELIEVE QUAKE ONLY WORKS ON THE SAME ELEVATION AS THE FIG DOING THE QUAKE.
Well, hes not actually using quake, just a somewhat similar effect. I think the key to answering that question is that he it is a close combat action and those cant be performed against people on a different elevation.
Initiative members with no Butterball?! I call shenanigans! Make Butterball!
Super Apes: Mikhlo KO List: HoT Thor x2 BatB Shazam! and Black Adam

WALLS I'M NOT SURE ABOUT THOUGH?
Nope and nope. It 3 squares away period. Elevation, walls, characters are all irrelevant. As long as its within 3 it gets shaken.
Oh and because i now this'll come up. Flyers automatically evade the attack. But if that flyer can't evade attacks (Book of Destiney, Psycho Man's Doubt) it will get hit by Major Earthquake

True, but you could also interpret it as meaning he just needs at least 1 adjacent character to activate the close combat attack, but everything afterward affects other characters within 3 regardless of elevation.

Give Red Hulk a power action
God limited the intelligence of man, it seems unfair that He did not also limit his stupidity
...and make a close combat attack. I guess I should have used "make" instead of "activate" since the power action is what activates the attack. My point was that the power couldn't be used at all unless Red Hulk had an adjacent character to make his initial close combat attack against, since the only way to make a close combat attack against a non-adjacent character is to be a giant and Red Hulk is not.
