WoS has been out for about 10 days now. We've opened our boosters, sorted our sets, and made some trades.
Overall, what do you think of the new no-chase-but-16-SR configuration? Would you like to have chases back and 12 SRs again? Chases + 16 SRs? No chases and 12 SRs? How is collecting this set working out for you compared to previous sets?
I don't mind chases and I don't mind 16 SR's. It seems that I was able to acquire the entire set a lot faster with this current format of 16 SR's. Remember that Ziran said that this isn't the guaranteed format of the future and that there could be chases in future sets.
Personally, I'm fine with 12 or 16 SRs, as long as there are no Chases. Although I'd like to see Regional Collation improved. The biggest issue I had was that certain SRs were more common then Rares and others were terribly hard to pull depending on where you live.
Trades: WITH WoL H/W, also looking for Mandarin Rings, DoFP Rares & Nimrod

16 SRs is kind of "daunting" but other than that no particular issues. Still pretty "take it or leave it" on chases in general. You're basically trading one "evil" for another.

So here I go adding to Kaitouace's sig again, but he hit the nail on the head. FOOM is very playable.
I do like the 16 SRs and no chases but with that configuration, there should always be at least 4 SRs per brick. That should even out the collectability of a set.
12 SRs and no chases unless they are going to put 5 SRs in each brick, then they can keep it at 16. If you were to pull perfect bricks, then you would need 4 to complete a set with 16 or only 3 for 12 without trading or buying any on the secondary market. It just starts to get really expensive even with a good deal on a case.
12 or 16 SR's is fine with me. I was never fond of the super-playable Chase figures.
I'd be ok with a chase fig if it was a different sculpt or alternate paint job, but the dial was the same.
Then it would be fun for uber-collectors, but the regular people who don't have $150 for 1 fig don't miss out on a game breaking piece.
Originally I was happy with the "No Chases" concept. With a relatively lack lustre pull from my case and my completionist (except for Chases) desire for DC75, I'd rather see them go back to Chase figures. Its just too expensive to try and get all 16 SRs in a set.
