I was just wondering if this has ever happened to anyone else. I sold a Cosmic Spider-Man on Ebay last week. Today, the buyer contacted me wanting a refund. When asked why, he honestly admitted that the thought the figures paint job was bad, thus his reason for wanting a refund?
The figure in question is exactly as it was when it came out of the box. Not only that, its paint job was comparable to the other 2 Cosmic Spider-Man I saw.
I guess I am just a little surprised that someone would think a normal factory paint job should warrant a refund. Has this happened to anyone else?
Save the E-mail and don't give him a refund. Move the money from paypal to your bank account NOW. When he files a dispute forward the e-mail to paypal and they will decline his request since you sent what you said you would.
Honestly, the main reason I sold my Cosmic Spidey is because of the paint job...
I've now had 3 Cosmic Spider-mans. The third one is the only one without some kind of cosmetic defect.
Also, if he doesn't give the refund I think it would be possible for him to get negative feedback. It seems that means quite a bit on ebay so just be careful with whatever you choose to do.
No way I'd give him the refund. Keep a log of all your emails, and (as stated above) be ready to send them on to ebay. He might be trying to rip you off.
Unfortunately if this guy wants he can grab you by the balls.
Paypal will side with him, most likely. If they do, moving your money out of there won't help, they'll just put you in the negative and unless you plan on never using that account again, you'll have to pay up SOME day.
I recommend communicating and working with the guy. Its either that or you give him back his money and hope he sends the fig back.
No, Mr. Unhappy returns the "defective" item 1st. THEN, after it's safely arrived, is when he gets his refund.
AND if he doesn't use Delivery Confirmation then YOU have him by the balls.
Also Negative doesn't mean as much as it did years ago. Your feedback percentage goes by the last year only. I had a negative or two all my years on Ebay and I still have 100% feedback on there.
