I've been playing Apes since Now!, and here's my latest version.
Designed primarily for Quantum Kondo, works just as well for Ultra Gakura and Mega Gakura to a lesser degree.
Airborne Ape
Stealth Ape
Elite Frontline Ape
Frontline Ape
Command Ape x3
Spikodon
Raptix
Brontox
Pteradactix
Elite Bellower
Bellower
Green Fury Van
Air Kami
I'm not totally set on the city, but currently thinking
Posh Apartment x4
Apartment Building x3
Office Building
Electrical Power Plant
Insurance Company HQ
Statue of Liberty
Radio Telescope
With just enough blasting power to deal with units, this force tries to make the most out of the Frontlines. With Berserk, the Frontline pair can throw 2*8, up to 4*8, by themselves. Add in Fortify and it gets boosted to *10, with the option of Flank. Lift comes in to allow the attack to be made on Flyers. Even at 2*8, that's decent odds to hit a Defense of 7, and 2*10 is better than 90% against a 7.
Some options for the force: Replace the GFV with a second Spikodon, probably a shadow version, to give the Blast corps. a chance against higher defenses. Could also drop one of the Command Apes, but I like spreading Command around the map so that it's not difficult for Kondo/Gakura to step, Command, Advance, or Command after Rampaging away. Countermeasures also helps when there's more on the field.
Of course, there's lots of High Occupancy in the city, but also Insurance and Shuffle. 2 instances of Beacon, although I don't expect the SoL to last very long.
You should include a couple of Tanker Trucks... Their Amplify really helps the P-dice generation for QKK. Possibly even a Fire Engine for those pesky hazards that QKK can't jump over (since he doesn't have Jump!).
Personally I'd get rid of...
- the Air Kami (not a fan of cross-agenda splashing)
- 2 of the Command Apes (try as I might, I rarely get much use out of these guys)
- the Raptix (I know they're good but there are lots of good units now... Or keep the Raptix and add another in place of the Frontline Ape).
Frontline Apes work best together. Also, Airborne Apes are still very good even after the nerfing... include one or two more.

There are 542,000 children in foster care. Talk to your local foster and adoptive agency. You could change a life.
Bellowers can take care of the Hazards well enough.
I do agree that QKondo could use some boost. Might drop the Raptix for a Tanker Truck, although since I only have 1, it becomes a very high priority target, which is not all bad.
That's like the 3rd time someone has mentioned the nerf for Airborne apes.
Would anyone mind clarifying what exactly happened with them?
Radial Attack was nerfed (and, therefore, the Airborne Apes). Radial Attack used to do 1 damage to each monster and unit around the attacking monster. That meant if you could get into a cluster of morphers, you could do 1 to each morpher and unit around the attacker. It became possible to 1 hit kill an morpher monster with a single Airborne Ape!
The change made simply cuts down the damage to 1 if the figure hit is a monster, no matter how many times it is hit. So that gaggle of morphers only takes 1 damage now.

It's a little more complex than that. Radial Attack now only hits monsters when another monster has the ability. So Ulgoth with Radial Attack on Brawl can still hit his target monster (say a morpher) and have Radial Attack hit any other morphers adjacent to him.
But the airborne ape, only being a unit, cannot hit adjacent monsters with Radial Attack. It can still hit a monster with the blast attack, and Radial Attack will hit adjacent units, but adjacent Morphers are safe.
