OK, i have a tourney tonight...

500 pt theme team...
with a rule that all damage reducers only reduce one damage. So all damage reducers are pretty much changed to toughness..

ok. I came up with two teams that i may want to play with.

First one is a Brute Theme:

WoS Red Hulk - 220pts
FF Starter set Thing - 100pts
AA Arkillo - 126pts
SI She Things - 50 pts
total - 496pts

or

Future Theme:

JL SR Superman - 283pts
CR Rip Hunter - 97pts
AA batman Beyond - 64pts
CR Karate Kid - 63pts
total - 507pts... oops just realized the team is over 7 pts.

Well now that i realize the Future team is over points, just give me your opinion on both teams and if it is worth me fixing the Future team to 500pts or just go with Brute.

Brute & Future are generic keywords. You need at least 5 figures at 500 pts for it to be a theme team...

well looks like i need more help than i thought. haha

I would build a team around the conditions they set forth. If everyone's damage reducers are now toughness than don't waste points on characters with higher damage reducers. I would fill a team with several lower cost high damage/attack characters. Martial artists and some x-men would do well in this situation.

Agreed don't use anyone with any invulnerability or impervious. It's a waste of points.

If you have a non generic theme keyword like Avengers or X-men, then you just need 1 character for every 150 points so 4 would work.

Thanks for the advice... ok .. so i took time out of my busy work schedule (haha) to make 3 more teams that i might use tonight... let me know what you guys think of them. These are not play tested.. so i will have to make game time decisions on what to do... but here it is :
