so I was wondering if this phenominon was just in my little town or if it was a global thing, there are many people I know that hate dc but love marvel but I never see it the other way around sure lots of people like both but it seems like its impossible to hate marvel and like dc. any comments as to this anomale(did I spell that wrong?)
I dont' mean to further polarize the two groups but it seems that there are people who hate DC but love marvel...but I have yet to see a DC fan who hates marvel. They usually go "Well...it could be better"

I love DC. The WoS set only gave me almost 20 figures that I had to have: X-Force, Dark Avengers, Thunderbolts figures and Groot.
The rest is trade fodder. GSX I may get a few if they remake Rogue, Psylocke.
I will say that I have 13 different figures from WoS (17 figures total including my 5 Symbiotes). These are the only Marvel figures I own. I was very happy with the set =]

HUGE DC fan here!!!
I don't hate Marvel, but most of my title purchases and favorite heroes are on the DC side.
I don't see the reason to HATE a comic company or it's characters. If what you say is true, maybe it's not DC that is the problem but the Marvel fans you know
I'm going to hit him really, really hard with a big green boxing glove............ I'm kidding. - Hal Jordan
Life long DC guy until Didio and Morrison did a number on the company. Now I read only Marvel and the odd Indy thing. I wouldn't describe my cancelling of DC as hatred, i'm more dissapointed with their vision. Time will change and so will my purchases, 10 years ago it was the opposite when Marvel was going bankrupt.
Three things to keep in mind:
1.) Marvel does outsell DC. Usually the split is 45-50% Marvel to 35-40% DC with the Indy books filling in the gaps. DC turned out some high quality product with Blackest Night and was able to place more titles in the Top Ten sales list than usual, but the overall percentages remained pretty much the same.
2.) This is the internet. The voice of reason is almost always lost in the cacophony of fanboyism and blind faith. He shouts loudest who shouts the most hateful.
3.) DC sucks.
May all your hits be crits!
On the whole, human beings want to be good — but not too good, and not quite all the time. - George Orwell
Started out only collecting Marvel clix, then saw Nightwing (HT) and just got a few and that let to whole sets. A year or so later when I started back up collecting comics with a majority being DC and some mutant phobia kept my purchases to a minimum....Now 6-7 years later it's the opposite I'm more a 75% Marvel and 25% DC. Go figure...
