It happened once every 12 years. They had waited patiently as the other animals had had their turns. Rabbits, Monkeys and Dogs had all had their times to shine but now, finally it was their turn again. It was the Year of the Dragon.
The Dragons were congregating. The selected location for this year’s festivities was secluded. It was a series of tunnels and caves on the side of a volcano. They twisted and turned in the mountainside leading to a central meeting spot in the middle, which gave full view to the stars above at night.
The event was by invitation only. Kept secret as to not be disturbed, Dragons near and far had gathered this way once every 12 years for millennia. Some of the Dragons were as old as the festivities themselves and were rumoured to even have attended the very first one. Some were young and new and honoured to be included.

Dragons flocked in from all over the globe. Some flew, some swam, some crawled and some appeared as if by magic. As they arrived, they were shown to private caves made to resemble their home surroundings. Care had been taken to see that each and every dragon, no matter age or size, had been properly taken care of.
But not everyone eyed this event as a positive thing. One figure certainly did not. She had not been invited. She had expected an invitation and it had never arrived; a fact that made her quite furious. Her blood boiled as she realized that she had not just been forgotten, but cast aside. They didn’t forget to invite her, they didn’t want her there. And that is precisely why she MUST be there.

Outside the caves, someone was yelling, furiously:
“DDDDRRRRRAAAAAGGGGOOOONNNN!!!!”
This was not over.

The Dragons had settled and were gathering in the common area. The space was just big enough for the lot of them as they looked up to the sky. Shining down on them was a Dragon in the stars. He was the host of this year’s event and was twinkling brightly for all to see. He was about to address the crowd when the commotion began. It started with a flash of light, blinding everyone around. After a few seconds of panic, their eyes began to adjust to the dark.... wait the dark? Why was it dark? The Dragon in the stars had been bathing the common area in light a few seconds ago. The crowd of dragons looked up at the barren sky. It had begun.
Bouquet is dead. He was Draco, Dragon of the Stars, also known as Magnito.
Day 1 Starts now. With 24 players, 13 is a majority.
It was chaos. The dragons were in shock and didn't know what to do. Several of them could have been capable of what had just been witnessed. Could anyone be trusted? There was a mad dash back into the winding labyrinth of tunnels.
A tiny creature was sitting in the shadows near a pool of water, waiting for a target to appear. However, it was late and the tiny creature had been up for hours. It started with a yawn and quickly progressed into eyes shutting and sleep setting in. The tiny creature was fast asleep within minutes just as a rather strange creature was emerging from the water. Not noticing the tiny one, the strange creature splashed water everywhere, drenching the small snoozer. However, the splash of cold water didn’t wake it up. How odd.

“Yum” thought the dragon as it looked at what lay before it. “This is going to be delicious”

She was running around the caves laughing madly to herself. She was having ever so much fun, but the fun was about to end when she bumped into in incredibly intimidating figure. “What are you doing here!” bellowed the intimidating figure. Frozen in her tracks, she couldn’t even formulate a response.

The young one was making as much noise as she could trying to get the old one’s attention but nothing was working. No sound, no cry no plea could make the old one even look down. Disappointed and frustrated, the young one gave up. Not a great start.
The confusion of the first day seemed less so on the second day. The dragons were more talkative but not more productive. While less confused and willing to discuss, they were not trusting of each other. Of course, Dragons are very untrusting by nature. Still, nothing much was really accomplished when all was said and done.
Sleep. Peaceful, restful sleep. A place a dreams and wonders. Everyone needs sleep to function and Dragons are no exception. But there can always be a cost, even to the most essential things in life. While sleep can be an escape it can also be a curse if you never wake up. He had slept through the day barely anyone took notice. But at night, when the clock struck 12 and no one had come to his rescue, the magic dragon’s sleepy state became permanent. He would never wake up again.

“Get away from me” the dragon said quite racistly when another dragon had tried to talk to him. The dragon was orange. ORANGE! How dare an orange dragon try and talk to him. The racist dragon ignored the orange dragon as much as possible. But the orange dragon would not be ignored. After a few racial slurs, the orange dragon had had quite enough and pushed the green one as hard as he could; pushed him right into the line of fire. Flames not enough to melt steal and powerful enough t destroy a landscape engulfed the racist dragon until there was nothing left but a pile of ash.
________________________
The orange dragon felt terrible and slinked away. Sure, the green dragon had been a terrible racist, but he hadn’t deserved death. He went of all sulked a little, when a young figure approached him.
“Drrraaaggoonn”, she said in her most friendly voice, “why are you so sad?”
The dragon didn’t answer. His type wasn’t the talking kind. He just kind of looked at her with his big, cute, teary, eyes.
“I thought Dragons were supposed to be tough.”
To put on a show for the girl, the orange dragon puffed out his chest a little to show how tough he can be.
“Oh, so you are tough! What else can you do? Breath fire?”
The dragon shook his head “no”.
“How about fly really fast?”
The dragon got excited here. He could fly fast! To show the girl, he jumped up and flew around the whole world.
“Do it again! Do it again!” cried the girl.
After being forced to fly around the whole world several times, the orange dragon was exhausted. He needed sleep. Excusing himself from the young one, he retreated to the comfort of the tiny ball which he called home.
“Finally,” said the girl, “I thought he was never going to do that.” She picked up the red and white ball, put it on the ground and then stomped on it, crushing it and the dragon within.

“Yummy” said the dragon as he picked up the item that had just been left for him.
“I wouldn’t eat that.” Said a voice from the shadows.
“Who said that?”
“Just trust me. I wouldn’t eat that. Just throw it away.”
And he did.

There were two of them. The first was large, intimidating and one of the most respected dragons in all of history. The second was small, vile and respected by no one. But that was the way she liked it.
“This hardly seems fair” said the small one to herself. She knew she could never beat the five-headed dragon by playing by the rules. It’s a good thing rules never really concerned her. Cheating was more fun anyways. She cackled to herself as the game began. After all, that was all this was to her; one big game. And she was going to win the game, by any means necessary.
Night 2 is over.
Violet is dead. He was Puff, the Magic Dragon (Town/Puff the Magic Dragon), who will no longer frolic in the autumn mist. Also known as ThorKnigh83.
Lavender is dead. He was Albi, the Racist Dragon (Town/Flight of the Conchords), a draon who really cared about colour. Also known as sstralkowski.
Forget-Me-Not is dead. He was Dragonite (Town/Pokemon), a dragon-type Pokemon (because Charizard is fire-type, not a Dragon type). Also known as Grinner.
Jasmine is dead. He was Tiamat (Town/Legend), worshiped Dragon goddess. Also known as Quebbster.
20 players remain. Due to the death of Tiamat, there can be no lynch today. You are all much to broken up about the death of such a legend.
There was shock. Tiamat...dead? It seemed impossible to believe. And yet there it was. First Draco and now Tiamat. If they could be targeted, truly no one was safe. And without knowing who the threat truly was, things were only going to get worse.
The great white dragon flew in the sky above the cave system. As his name would suggest, his eyes darted from side to side, watching and waiting for his moment from above. As he surveyed the caves, he was completely unaware that he was also being watched. No... not watched; stalked. The great dragon was being followed by a creature whose power output would have rivalled his own. There was a huge output of red flames and the great white dragon fell hard to the earth below. He landed with a thud and was dead on impact.
The body lay, motionless, when someone came by. The young one lifted the ear of the dead dragon and whispered into it:
“drrraaagggooonnn...”
No response.
They tried again, a little louder:
“Drrrraaaagggooonnn...”
No response.
This time, the young one yelled into the ear:
“DRRRRRAAAAAGGGOOOONNNN!”
No response.
Convinced the dragon was dead, the young one walked away.

She kicked down the door and saw the great beast that stood before her. It’s pretty much what everyone fears. No one ever wants to kick down a door and see that Dragon behind it. Knowing she was in over her head, she called back to a team mate waiting in the shadows.
“Wanna help me with this one?”
The team mate seemed rather unimpressed by the question.
“We can share the reward...”
The team mate glided into the room after the woman.
It was a battle neither of them would have won on their own, but sometimes you just need a little help from your friends.
Night 3 is over.
Morning Glory is dead. He was Blue Eyes White Dragon (Town/Yu-Gi-Oh), Dragon whose name is as long as he is powerful. Also known as JKLantern.
Poppy is dead. He was the Plutonium Dragon (Town/Munchkin), post powerful monster ina very fun game. Also known as normalview
The mad woman was surrounded, and yet she was still delighted. For her, this was part of the game. And she did love games. As the dragons closed in around her, there was a puff of smoke and the woman was gone. A new dragon stood in her place. A purple dragon.
"See, I can be a dragon too!" she laughed.
"I'm not buying it" said one of the dragons in the crowd.
As it turns out... no one was. The Magnificent, Marvelous, Mad one was Mortuary bound.
Hydrangea is dead. He was Madame Mim (Mafia/The Sword in the Stone), powerful witch and sometimes-dragon. Also known as batfink.
Popularity can be both a blessing and a curse. Sometimes it is nice to be surrounded by others and sometimes it is the last thing you want.
One dragon in particular felt this, this evening. The feeling that everyone and their mother were after you. Some to hurt, some to help.
Or at least, they would have felt this had they not been taken off the map for an evening, leaving everyone around to wonder where they went.

The being of immense power was out for blood. Her fury could be felt throughout the entire cave system. She was going to shower her victim in a rain of torture. Or, at least she would have if she could have found her victim. But she couldn’t. Her would-be-victim was very good at making sure they were never found.
Surrounded and with few options remaining, there was only one thing left to do. There was no way the would-be-victim could survive the onslaught of dragons baring down upon them.
But hope was not lost. The victim still had one option remaining. One option to avoid a painful and terrible death. But it was an option that would not come without a cost...
Ever played a game of 20 questions? It’s a simple game, really. One player must think of a person, place or thing and the second player must determine what it is. To help them, they may ask any “yes-or-no” question to the first player but the trick is, as the name would suggest, they only have 20 questions to figure it out.
The game can be a lot of fun. Good way to pass the time in long trips, or in bouts of insomnia. But as would be determined this night in the elaborate cave system, 20 questions becomes less fun if the second player does not understand the rules. What would happen if they didn’t stop at 20? They just kept guessing and guessing all through the night and they refused to let the first player leave until they could figure it out? A wasted night... that is what would happen.

“Yummy” thought the owner of the room as he returned home to find a snack waiting on his bed.
“Don’t eat it” said a voice.
“Who’s there?”
“Just a friend telling you that no good can come from eating that. Trust me when I tell you, throw it away”
The owner of the room did as he was told.

They had a lot in common. For one, in a cave full of dragons, neither of them was. Yet they both felt they belonged here in the caves for reasons of their very own. (Well, that and they both had green skin, but that was really more of a coincidence).
The man was on the floor, gasping for breath. This opponent didn’t look powerful, but he knew all too well that looks can be deceiving. And despite the grand display of power she had showed thus far, he had a feeling this was but a fraction of what she was capable of.
And he was right. The woman walked majestically around the man. She had barely tapped her potential this evening and the man was already nearly spent.
“Come, come, child” said the woman with an evil grin, “I thought you were strong. I thought you were mighty. And yet here you are; barely able to stand”.
The man gasped for breath, “This is nothing. I’ve been worse off...”
With a flick of her wrist, green flames surrounded the man once more. No ordinary flames they felt as if they were burning not just the body, but the soul.
“I doubt that” she said as he screamed in agony.
She took pleasure in the screams, but knew this could not last forever. If he kept up this racket, someone would come looking for who was making the noise. With one last clench of her fist, she finished the job. The man was burned alive and the woman vanished into the darkness that surrounded her.

“This whole venture seems to have been mostly a waste of time”
There were 5 of them, sitting around a long desk. They had come for new ideas. Wanting to get the wisdom of the elder dragons and find brand new insights. But mostly, they had been disappointed.
“I don’t know,” replied one of them, “that large one form last night had some interesting ideas”
“Really? You thought so?”
“I supported her, didn’t I?”
“I thought you were just trying to shut her up. That alone would have been worth the investment”
“Alright, send the next one in”
With that the doors opened. But instead of a dragon walking into the room, an orange flame filled the office before any of the 5 of them could react.
Night 5 is over.
Lily is dead. He was Savage Dragon (Neutral/Savage Dragon), hero who used the Dragon name, despite not being one. Also known as get_1.
Calla is dead. He was the Dragons (Neural/Dragon’s Den), group of wealthy investors who called themselves “Dragons”, but weren’t really. Also known as Robo-Onion.
Yesterday, the town was amazed. They had a target. The woman was clearly not a dragon and must've been up to no good. But at the moment that her death seemed inevitable, she had transformed into a majestic dragon. This magnificent display had made the town second guess themselves and they left the dragon alone for the time being.
But something wasn't right. Leopards don't change their spots and women don't just become dragons. No, something was wrong and this time, the town decided to not let appearances stop them from doing what they know is right.
Chrysanthemum is dead. He was Moondragon (Mafia/Guardians of the Galaxy), marvel superhero, powerful mentaslist and sometimes-dragon, also known as The Boyblunder.
The old, old dragon awoke from his slumber and stood up. Wondering how long he had been asleep, he made his way towards the door of his room, carrying something with him. However, just as he was about to exit into the cave system, a large figure burst into his room. The old one sighed and sat down again. He knew he would not be leaving the room that evening.

The small figure flew through the cave system looking for their target. The target was not difficult to locate and this made the small figure quite happy. A nice simple night, for a change. But since when is anything nice or simple? The small figure became distracted when they saw something strange out of the corner of their eye. The small figure smiled and laughed at the sight they were now seeing but soon realized that they had a task to complete. But when the small figure looked back towards their target, the target was nowhere to be found.

Standing beside the dragon’s keep, thegirle was face to face with the great purple beast. The purple dragon used to be vicious, but motherhood had tamed her these last few years. This is something that the young one had decided to use to her advantage.
"Drrrraaaaagggooonnnn”, she said, smiling.
The dragon looked at the girl but said nothing.
“I hear you like to lock people up” the girl said coyly as she glanced up towards the tower (where she could clearly see someone (or some dragon) was being held captive), “so I thought I’d give it a shot too.
The dragon was horrified when the girl stepped aside to show a cage which contained a strange creature that appeared to be half-dragon and half-donkey. The dragon changed the girl, but she didn’t seem concerned. As the dragon approached, the girl gave the cage a kick and sent it tumbling off the cliff towards the river of lava below them.
The dragon panicked and jumped after her child. A second before the cage would have hit the lava, the dragon managed to get it open and save her offspring. But she would not be so lucky. To save her child, the dragon crashed into the lava below and vanished.
From the top o the cliff, the girl looked down with a smile on her face.

The red dragon had made it his mission to stay as low profile at night as possible. Avoiding others and only appearing when needed. This had worked well for him so far, but eventually this would end and he would be noticed. That eventually happened to be tonight.
The green-skinned woman (if you can call her a woman) had taken notice of the red dragon and knew he must be dealt with. With the powers of hell on her side, he did not stand a chance.
Night 6 is over.
Daisy is dead. He was Dragon (Town/Shrek), guardian of a dragon’s keep and loving mother. Also known as Wade Wilson.
Orchid is dead. He was the Great Red Dragon (Town/Bone), always appearing when needed the most. Also known as DarqFeonix.
The dragons had cornered the green beloved dragon. Children everywhere had loved him but he wasn't feeling the love tonight. No. He was feeling hate. The dragons didn't trust him and with a growing blood lust, killed him quick.
Tulip is dead. He was Dudley the Dragon (Town/Dudley the Dragon), beloved childhood icon. Also known as tyroman.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
No. Wait. Something was wrong. As the dragon fell to the ground dead. His head came off. It was just a costume. Inside they found the body of a very dead man.
Tulip is dead. He was Kirk Dunn (Mafia/Dudley the Dragon), man in a suit who liked to pretend he was a Dragon, but wasn't. Still known as tyroman.
